While Stephen Colbert may have left The Colbert Report and his “Colbert” persona back at Comedy Central after leaving for CBS’s Late Show, he never officially retired the character .
The bit was hilarious, but there were some folks who weren’t laughing: the corporate lawyers over at Comedy Central. Colbert had this to say of the issue: “Immediately after that show, CBS’ top lawyer was contacted by the top lawyer from another company to say that the character Stephen Colbert is their intellectual property,” said the Late Show host.
With the political stage looking the way it does now, Stephen Colbert (that is, The Colbert Report’s Colbert) is exactly the hero we need, so here’s hoping that Colbert can find a way to reprise the legendary character again someday. Comedy Central is owned by VIACOM and according to Wikipedia  "In 2000, CBS came under the control of Viacom, which was formed as a spin-off of CBS in 1971. One very bizarre souvenir commemorating Lucille Ball’s legacy might be up for sale soon, if it’s not melted down first. Arsenal are set to confirm that Per Mertesacker will be ruled out for up to five months after suffering a serious knee injury, Sky Sports News have confirmed.
The former-German international suffered the knee injury in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw in Lens on Friday night.
Mertesacker did not travel to the USA with the rest of the squad on Monday for the Gunners’ pre-season tour and will presumably head for further tests to determine the full extent of his injury. Arsenal have yet to confirm how serious the injury is to their centre-back other than confirming Mertesacker has been ruled out of their pre-season tour.
Sky Sports say the Premier League giants will make an official announcement within 48 hours to confirm the news. This will come as a huge blow with less than three weeks until the 2016-17 Premier League season kicks off and will surely force manager Arsene Wenger into signing a new centre-back this summer. With Gabriel currently suffering from tonsillitis, either Chambers or Holding are expected to play in Arsenal’s upcoming friendlies versus an MLS All-Star XI on Thursday and Chivas on Sunday.
The Gunners boss had been expected to sign a new centre-back to partner Koscielny this summer but despite being linked to a couple of players Wenger has yet to put in a formal offer for any top players in this position.

The Paul Feig directed Ghostbusters reboot has a new trailer that was released on the official Facebook page for the movie. This trailer features some of the Ghostbusters franchise favorites like The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer. As much as I wanted to just hate it, Paul Feig has a good record of making me laugh, so I'm in. After learning that Donald Trump is the Republican nominee, Colbert Report Colbert springs into action, heading to the Late Show studios to revive his classic bit, The Word, in which he highlights one particular word (in this case, “Trumpiness”) and breaks it down to its base parts. The day after the bit aired, they reached out to CBS’ legal representatives to let them know that the “Stephen Colbert” character is the intellectual property of Comedy Central and therefore cannot be performed by Colbert on any other network.
An avid gamer and podcast fan, he strives to always toe the line between charming irreverence and grating honesty.
Do you think you're going to be able to get someone else to play "the character Stephen Colbert" ???
In late 2005, Viacom split itself into two separate companies, and re-established CBS Corporation – through the spin-off of its broadcast television, radio and select cable television and non-broadcasting assets – with the CBS television network at its core. A statue to commemorate Lucille Ball was erected in her upstate New York hometown of Celoron last year and immediately brought together the community closer in their shared disgust.
Sculptor Carolyn Palmer of Hudson Valley and her bronze creation won, and the artist cited her inspiration as, “the playful, animated and spontaneous Lucy [and] also the glamorous Hollywood icon”.
Except as specifically provided in this Agreement, the Licensed Material may not be shared or copied for example by including it in a disc library, image storage jukebox, network configuration or other similar arrangement. The first trailer that was released on March 3rd became the most disliked trailer in the history of YouTube so it makes sense that this one pulled out some bigger guns to get fans more excited. The trailer also has a whole lot more Chris Hemsworth screen time and our first looks at SNL cast member Cecily Strong’s role, as well Mad TV alumni Michael McDonald who starts off the trailer. It focuses less on the main cast, more on the supporting characters and features a whole lot more ghosts.

Sadly, this means that we will never see “Stephen Colbert” as we once knew him again, barring a deal with Comedy Central. CBS Corporation is controlled by Sumner Redstone through National Amusements, which also controls the current Viacom."  So essentially Viacom will sue Viacom if he uses the Character again!? The statue dubbed an eyesore and a horrifying nightmare inspired Facebook pages like, “We Love Lucy! The new statue will be revealed in a public ceremony at the Lucille Ball Memorial Park, hopefully to positive reviews.

Once you license a royalty-free product, you may use it multiple times for multiple projects without paying additional fees. There are a bunch of new scenes added to the trailer as well as turning into pretty much a complete overhaul of the original trailer. Fans of the original should be more appeased seeing their favorites pop up for a split second.

The trailer also gives a better look to fans of how far special effects have come since the Ghostbusters last protected NYC, meaning we may be in store for some really great fight scenes. Not even the stellar performance of hollywood newcomer Chris 'pepper' Stanley can save this train wreck.
