Two of the most highly anticipated devices of the year have finally been announced and detailed earlier this month.
This device is a considerable improvement over the iPhone 5s and also packs a bigger punch than the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, but how does it stack up against the Samsung Galaxy Note 4? The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes equipped with one of the most impressive displays around and a great set of specs to boot. Hardware-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes in two variants, each more impressive than the last. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a lot of advantages over the iPhone 6 Plus, but the latter arguably has the upper hand when it comes to the operating system.
That being said, the iPhone 6 Plus is generally more interesting when it comes to the OS just because of the fact that it comes equipped with the newest major update and that’s always appealing to many customers. Last but not least, we have to talk about pricing since this will be a deciding factor for many people. All in all, the iPhone 6 Plus will be a bit more expensive compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but this isn’t all that surprising.
The iOS vs Android battle will begin anew after Android L will be released, but for now the iOS 8 has the upper hand.
You shouldn’t be able to complain about the economy or your own personal financial situation if you blow your money on trivial Apple crap.
4K video recording, micro SD card support, high resolution screen, the pen with a wacom screen and multi-tasking is making it hard for me to go Iphone..
I have an iPhone 5 currently, and while I love it to pieces (sometimes, literally) the quality of the chargers kill it for me. Finally someone with a brain, I as well got the note 2 when it first came out and I’m using it right now to post. The real battle begins in 2015, when Android phones switch over to the 64-bit Snapdragon 810, while both Android L and iOS 8 mature. Note: We tested the accessories for the Galaxy S7 edge as we didn’t have a Galaxy S7 on hand.
When you get a call, you can swipe the part where the LEDs are shown in order to answer or dismiss the call. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge come with the Google Play Music app out of the box instead of Samsung’s own music player, which means you miss a great deal of functionality with the LED View cover if you use Google Play Music.
The LED View Cover is a very nice case, with a nice feel in the hand while protecting your device from accidental drops and nicks.
Head over to MobileFun to buy the LED View Cover for the Samsung Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge. If we talk about smartphones cases that look really good, Samsung’s Clear View cover ranks really high. When the lid is closed, you can see notifications in the status bar, though you can’t interact with them. Head over to MobileFun to buy the Clear View Cover for the Samsung Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge.
Samsung surprised us last year with its take on a smartphone keyboard with the keyboard cover for the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+.
The keyboard comes in two parts – you first need to attach a regular case to the back of the phone, and then strap on the keyboard part at the front. The purpose of this keyboard is to let you type faster, but that wasn’t the experience I had.
The Clear Cover is a minimalist yet stylish cover that protects your phone from scratches on the back. The minimal nature of the Clear cover means you can keep the original design of the phone visible from the front.
The Flip Wallet has the same design as the LED View cover, but with a soft touch finish and no LED display. US Cellular is moving forward with LTE technology just as AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon are. Samsung Galaxy S Aviator is half an inch thick and weighs 5 ounces, making it both thick and heavy compared to recent releases. The massive 4.3-inch, 8-megapixel rear camera, and 4G connectivity give me no reason to call Samsung Galaxy S Aviator as “just another” Galaxy S variant.

Currently, everyone is waiting for August 2, 2016, the date when the South Korean company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 7.
The Mobile World Congress will be held next year, between February 27 and March 2 and it will take place in Barcelona. Some rumors suggest that Samsung has been very busy building the Galaxy S8 and the company is planning to release it exactly six months later after the arrival of the Galaxy Note 7.
According to TrustedReview, the Galaxy S8 will probably come with a 5.1-inch display that will be protected by a Corning Gorilla 5. The handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor that will be backed by 8GB of RAM.
There are also reports which say that the handset will feature a dual-camera system which will be able to work separated or together in order to capture high-quality images.

Sometime during this August, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 7 and then go on to launch it in a few different markets across the world. In a move that would take some serious design cues straight from its S-series of handsets, Samsung is rumored to be about to give the Note Phablet its own curves.
As well as getting its own dual curved display the Galaxy S7 Edge is apparently going to be even larger than its predecessors at 5.8-inches. Moving on to the specifications of that huge 5.8-inch display, it looks as though Samsung is taking some cues again from the S7. The Exynos chipset has been around for some time now and gone through a number of iterations, however, with the Galaxy Note 7 Edge it will be paired with 6GB of RAM. The Korea Herald recently reported that the Galaxy Note 7 Edge and its new curvaceous design will be launched this August at Samsungs Yearly Unpacked event (No surprise there then). If you’re a fan of YouTube and its army of smartphone designers, you may be interested to know about a new video from Technofiurations, which shows what they think the Galaxy Note 6 Edge may look like. You will notice that this is a 3D render and is based on earlier rumors and leaks that have talked about what could have been the handset’s design.
With Adoptable Storage, you can merge built-in and microSD storage into a single block of memory that the system uses to install apps, save personal data, media files, and so forth. However, as Droid-Life points out, you can still move apps to the SD card you’ll end up buying.

Remember last week when Piper Jaffray said the price hike would have minimal impact on subs and NFLX could even push it to $15?
While the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 made its first official appearance on September 4th at the IFA Trade Show, the iPhone 6 Plus along with the iPhone 6 were only unveiled on September 9th during Apple’s special event. The iPhone 6 Plus features an 8 MP primary sensor, just like its predecessor, but comes with OIS, dual-LED and various other features that greatly improve image and video quality. Admittedly, NFC and other new iOS 8 features have already been available for some time on Android so that’s not much of a novelty.
Samsung unfortunately didn’t discuss this aspect during the IFA, but they did mention that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will feature a premium price tag.
However, if the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will end up costing $800, then the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus will actually end up being a bit cheaper. Make sure I am always expanding and develop them to the point that they consistently generate reliable cash flow. Plus I was disappointed that the Iphone 6 still has only 1 GB of ram, not much future proofing there. And with all the added abilities like widgets and NFC just being added now I would say that Apple is a knock off not Android. Not sure what Samsung device you’ve been using, but the Note 4 will definitely destroy the iPhone 6 in battery life, and basically every other hardware aspect. Samsung was never good at software, it is primarily a hardware parts manufacturer (memory chips and AMOLED screens). I was going to try the IPhone 6 plus for my second phone until I seen the plus is $400 for 64gb with no expandable storage and $500 for 128gb. This year, MobileFun has provided us with the entire lineup of accessories for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. It has a leather finish that makes it feel very premium, which isn’t surprising considering how premium Samsung’s new handsets are. The same is the case with alarms – alarms are shown with an arrow for turning them off.
With Samsung’s own app (which can be downloaded off the Galaxy Apps store), you get a cool visualization when music is playing, along with the option to turn the volume up or down when the cover is closed.
The only thing you see is the clock, and if you play music, you get music controls on the cover.
You can also hop into the settings menu to enable a dual clock for the case, which should come in handy when you’re visiting a place in another time zone. It’s got a futuristic feel and covers the phone completely – protection and good design in a single package. It wasn’t the most beautiful thing in the world, and the design has remained mostly the same this year. The case at the back offers you a grip that can’t be provided by the glass back of the device itself. For example, for typing in a period, you have to press and hold the Alt key instead of long pressing the M key on which the period is located. The protection against drops is too minimal, and I reckon the cover will need to be replaced after a single drop to the ground.
Just like most (maybe all) Samsung smartphones, it embodies that typical cheap look with its all-plastic body and glossy but easily-scratched chrome edge – save for the glass screen which uplifts its design to a more bearable state. Rather, it is a marriage of Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 to create an affordable 4G phone with competitive specs. This combines with the Samsung Pay mobile payments technology to enable users to pay for goods and services by swiping the Samsung Galaxy S6 over a reader in stores and restaurants. According to rumors, this device will be unveiled around six months after the Galaxy Note 7 will hit the stores. This means that the company has still a good amount of time to prepare for the release of the Galaxy S8 device, which will happen sometime in Q1 of 2017.
It is good to know that Samsung usually introduces its newest Galaxy S line at this event and in other words, there are big chances that we will see the Galaxy S8 next year, during that period of time. However, when it comes to the release date, there are reports which suggest that the company will not be able to release the handset before mid-April 2016.
If rumors will prove to be right, Gorilla Glass 5 will make the device unbreakable when dropped from a height of over five feet on a concrete or rough surface. There are reports which suggest that Samsung will place the speakers at the top and bottom of the smartphone, in order to provide a “3D sound” experience. Previous rumors have suggested that the Galaxy Note 7 will be launched in two different and distinct variations. These curves will appear down both sides of the handset, just as they do on the Galaxy S7 Edge and the Galaxy S6 Edge. This time, it is with the inclusion of a Super AMOLED viewer with remarkable QHD resolution, which will provide some rich and super sharp video and gaming experiences. It is also being suggested that Samsung could launch an RIO Olympics-themed model, but no sources have been quoted or further information has been provided on this. You will also notice that the phone is much larger than the Galaxy S7 Edge even though it shares some design similarities. He's been writing about all things mobile, wearable, apps and anything else tech related for a number of years now for various different sites all over the world. However, if you plan to buy the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, then you definitely should pay attention to the way Samsung handles memory expansion before you commit to any of the phones. The combined storage is encrypted, and the microSD card is useless when inserted in other devices.
Just go to storage Settings, and you’ll be able to change the storage location of apps and move them to the SD card. In previous years the Note phablets didn’t have a lot of direct competition thanks to their massive screen sizes, but things have definitely changed this year.
In this comparison we’re only going to talk about the iPhone 6 Plus as the standard iPhone 6 is not a suitable competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet because of its smaller screen size.
Pretty much any device will be hard pressed to compete with an impressive screen like that, but the iPhone 6 Plus will definitely try. But the operating system has other tricks up its sleeve such as the new Metal gaming technology, which sets the bar pretty high when it comes to mobile gaming and a lot of major developers have already jumped on the bandwagon and confirmed that they will be making games for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Most sources speculate that the device will cost $300 on a two-year contract and anywhere from $600 to $800 unlocked.
In regards to the specs, it’s pretty safe to say that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is overall superior, but the iPhone 6 Plus is arguably not that far behind. If this means living in a small studio apartment and eating ramen, rice, and beans, so be it. Number 2 your a retard by saying in a different post that Apple created the touchscreen how stupid could your be.
I’ve only ever had to replace one charger for a MBP because I kept running over it with my office chair.
I can afford the phone but why waste money when I can just buy a different phone and add more storage for less. Most of them are the same as the ones that were launched for the Galaxy S6 lineup, but Samsung has also added a couple of new accessories to go along with its latest Galaxies.
Like you would expect from an official case, the LED View cover fits snugly and the cutouts are on point. That’s it – there’s no third-party integration whatsoever, so developers can’t take advantage of the cover’s functionality. Connecting the device to the charger brings up a neat battery animation and the battery percentage. Closing the lid protects your phone nicely, and in contrast to last year’s Clear View cover, screen scratches shouldn’t be a problem as the cover comes with a protector placed inside. Calls can be accepted and dismissed, and contrary to the LED View cover, you can both dismiss or snooze an alarm. The functionality could be better though – you can control music, alarms and calls, but can’t act on notifications when the case is closed.
Once the keyboard is attached, the screen contents move upwards, and the icons become smaller to accommodate everything on the reduced screen estate.

It’s great for those still used to physical phone keyboards, but for those familiar with virtual smartphone cameras, the keyboard cover isn’t a recommended purchase.
The back has a protector on this year’s edition of the Clear cover, to protect the phone against scratches from the case itself, which was a huge issue on last year’s official Galaxy S6 cases.
Oh, and don’t forget to check out our review of the Galaxy S7 edge before you go out buying the device or its accessories.
Samsung Galaxy S Aviator is a rebranded version of Verizon’s Droid Charge and therefore packs similar specs. 800 x 480 pixels isn’t much but brushing that aside is the high-contrast display capable of producing rich and vivid images. According to rumors, getting it to work correctly with an enlarged curved display was not the only problem, however, these problems have only been hinted at, nothing concrete has been provided.
However, to cope with this the Note 7 will get a much larger battery probably somewhere around 4,000mAh.
One good thing about the video above is that it lists all of the rumored specs for the handset, which is interesting to see, due to the fact that they are always changing. That’s just like last year with the Galaxy S6 and 8GB is still a massive chunk of space. Comparatively, using Google’s Adoptable Storage wizard, the system will determine whether your microSD is speedy enough for the feature to work without destroying the overall user experience. Without further ado, let’s take a look at these titans of the smartphone world and see what each of them brings to the table. This means that a lot of mobile gamers will likely switch to iOS in the future and that’s pretty bad news for Android. The phablet is said to become available for purchase in early October and will make its way to all major US carriers so we’ll have to wait until then for the specific price.
Also, Apple is offering a device equipped with a newer operating system, which is certainly important for many potential customers. I used to be the biggest Android supporter but over time, with each and every Android phone I have had reality kicks in… battery life SUX and Samsung doesnt seem too keen on improving it.
Knock off cords break within a week if you are lucky enough for them to be compatible in the first place.
I never break them, but my wife is rough on them and I usually do a warranty replacement every few months for her. The extra money can go to more important things I’m try to figure out what phone to get for my second one.
The ability to create charts (pie, line, and bar.) Ability to create custom thank you cards, birthday invites, baby memory albums and much more. Let’s find out what these new accessories offer for buyers of the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge.
You know, like being able to see the name of the person scrolling on the display during an incoming call, which would make it so much better (Samsung, I hope you’re taking notes for the next iteration of the LED view cover).
There’s also the downside that the fingerprint sensor becomes unusable as the keyboard hides the home button. Right below the screen are four touch-sensitive buttons: Menu, Home, Back, and Search from left to right. The 1GHz Hummingbird CPU inside the phone leaves less to desire though, especially these days when midrange phones pack single-core to dual-core processors clocked at faster speeds.
However, a new report has suggested that Samsung may surprise the market and not release the customary flat version at all.
It turns out Samsung has further improved UFS storage, though its newest chips might not make it into any Galaxy S7 version anytime soon.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with some great specs, but its competitor isn’t anything to sneeze at either. Unfortunately there is no microSD card support, which is definitely a disadvantage over the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
Indeed, Android L will only launch later this year so we didn’t expect to see the phablet running it just yet.
We’ll just have to wait and see if Android L can offer something else that will sway customers to its side once it launches.
Apple on the other hand did announce pricing for the iPhone 6 Plus and it will certainly cost you quite a bit if you want the maximum amount of storage.
I am not an Apple hater, just wanted to point his out since it is not fair to claim Samsung batteries dont last long because they do after many years of use.
Maybe I’ll get both Samsung phones or something I need to find a second phone for work. Plastic is fine if its done right, I drive a Corvette and not body says but it’s made of PLASTIC who wants that. Over in the accessory tab on the phone, you can set different images for your contacts, and you can also set what the lid does (basically, choose between turning off the screen when the lid is closed or letting it remain as it is).
On the bright side, the device is certainly thinner so that’s something to take into consideration.
Apple didn’t announce the battery size for the iPhone 6 Plus, but presumably we can expect to see a vast improvement over the iPhone 5s so take that as you will.
Unfortunately, Samsung devices have not been a top priority for the latest versions of Android in the past and this will likely not change any time soon. But even more importantly for the sake of this comparison is the question: will the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 upgrade to Android L in due time after the final build of the OS is released by Google?
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 offers increased performance and a truly impressive screen that puts most other devices to shame.
Also I meant to put student loans but it I auto- corrected to didn’t loans cause I was swiping to fast and it registered my word wrong. The adapter was thick, and I could use cheap 30-pin chargers instead of the lighting-pin cables. If you prefer to overspend on a product that is always a few years behind its your money go for it. Having said that iPhone has many limitations which we cannot even imagine in this modren era.
The battery is expected to last around 384 hours in stand-by mode and 24 hours of talk time. Not to mention that the S Pen now comes with several new features that are bound to delight users. No bluethooth, no easy file sharing, cannot dowload mp3 on the fly, no fm radio, no memory slot, non removable battery and premium price tag.
The drawback is that you may have to wait a while until the device upgrades to Android L, but it will happen eventually so all you need is patience. Above all iPhone by itself is not a great productive smartphone device without external apps. I am a power user and expect my smartphone to handle anything I throw at it… Android has come up short one too many times. Even if you don’t have any external apps the device by itself is very productive and powerful. Apple products are so fine tuned and integrated that a phone with half the spec of an Android would likely run better. On top of this the Touch Wiz UI of samsung adds more weight and heaviness to the already lagging device. So I think samsung has to design it’s own OS to become an unbeatable leader in smartphones. And I phone has to be more productive and feature flexible to take the top position on the leadership board.
