Deadpool arrives in theaters next year, and after that come a deluge of new Marvel superheroes from Fox's superhero stable. Deadpool has long been a fan-favorite character, and the Deadpool movie is something Ryan Reynolds has been trying to get off the ground for years. Gambit is the next solo X-Men movie after Deadpool, scheduled to release on October 7, 2016. While little is known about the Gambit movie, Channing Tatum recently dropped a few clues that he may appear in next summer's X-Men: Apocalypse. That's all for now- check back soon for more on Deadpool, Gambit, Wolverine, and the many other superheroes still out there. Deadpool has a premiere date of February 12, 2016 and stars Ryan Reynolds as the titular super-mercenary, Deadpool.

In a script that leaked online several years ago, the story was rumored to involve Deadpool's origin story and a fight to stop Ajax, the villain who's been menacing Deadpool.
The film will star Channing Tatum as the titular superhero, a mutant with the power to transfer kinetic energy into other matter (also, he's got sweet bo staff skills). While neither the story nor the title have been revealed for the next film in the Wolverine saga, the film has a 2017 release date and will be directed by James Mangold, who also directed The Wolverine. The film also stars Morena Baccarin as Copycat, a superhero with shapeshifting powers who may be Deadpool's love interest. Recent set photos confirm the presence of Colossus, another character rumored to be a part of the script. Tatum wasn't always an option, however- Taylor Kitsch first played Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, however neither his performance nor the film were particularly well-received and Fox had no problems ousting Kitsch from Gambit and giving the role to Channing Tatum.

Hugh Jackman, of course, will star- but the actor recently revealed it will be his last appearance onscreen as the famous mutant character.
Ed Skrein will play the villain, Ajax, Gina Carano will play the mutant Angel Dust, and T.J.
