Samsung announced the Galaxy S6 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on March 1, 2015, as a fresh successor to 2014's Galaxy S5.
The Galaxy S6 has the same sized 5.1-inch screen and button placements, but is made of a solid metal frame with Gorilla Glass 4 on both sides giving it a completely different look and feel. With the Galaxy S6, Samsung is for the first time in years making smartphone hardware that is on par with — or better than — what the rest of the industry is putting out. With the design change Samsung also decided to drop the seemingly-popular SDcard slot and removable battery (which is a smaller 2550mAh unit), and instead thinned out the phone to just 6.8mm thick and included both Qi and Powermat wireless charging capabilities. The Galaxy S6 also features Android Pay and Samsung Pay, (Samsung's alternative to Android Pay). The camera on the Galaxy S6 is one of its brightest new features, carrying over the same image sensor and optical image stabilization from the Galaxy Note 4. One aspect of the Galaxy S6 that left a bit to be desired was the non-removable 2550MAh battery. The Galaxy S6 launched globally at the beginning of April 2015 in four different colors — white, black, gold and blue — with support from the major U.S. Samsung outdid itself with the hardware and camera on the Galaxy S6, but there are a few compromises in other areas.
Whether you've just put down the money on your own Galaxy S6 — or someone you know is the lucky one to have it and needs some help — this guide will get you started with the phone. Cases that integrate external batteries can potentially fix your Galaxy S6's battery woes, and while they aren't a new idea they may be on your radar for the first time since picking up a GS6.
I've had a pretty standard Otter Box since I got my S6 (used to rock no case on the S4 but after dropping it and completely shattering the screen I smartened up ;) ), but some of these cases look great!
Customary of what we do best, we’ve compiled the latest rumors and news on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release date, specs, and price info in one amazing preview. With all we’re hearing on the seventh installment of Samsung’s Phablet, it’s already shaping up to be one hell of a release.
We’re also hearing a new metal composite making the Note 7 more durable and the return of a removable battery. The latest rumors on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release date may actually surprise you as it sounds the Korean manufacturer is looking to be launch their new flagship sooner, rather than later. With this being said, the official announcement could come as early as August 2017 with preorders starting by the 2nd week, and sales and shipments before the end of the month.
We’re expecting the Note 7 to launch globally in August for larger markets including the US, UK, China, Canada, Germany, and many other European and Asian markets. The price of the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to set you back about $800 for a 32GB version, and it’s still unknown if Samsung will make a 64GB version available. Samsung isn’t expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 7 until August 2, but a store in Dubai is already taking pre-orders for the handset. When the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge were unveiled, it was a couple days before pre-orders opened up for either device, but Samsung seems to be doing something differently this time around.
According to another report from SamMobile, there are rumors floating around that T-Mobile will begin taking Galaxy Note 7 pre-orders next week and release the handset the day of the announcement, August 2. As a quick rundown on the hardware rumors, we’re expecting the Note 7 to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 6GB of RAM.

What you seen in the image up top is the 2016 flagship from HTC in Topaz Gold, Glacial Silver, and Carbon Gray.
If you’re in the United States, you can pre-order the HTC 10 right now directly from the company. Aside from the general shape and size, there's not much in common between the two consecutive models.
This differs greatly from the previous year's Galaxy S5 which was constructed mostly of plastic.
With a finely-crafted metal and glass body, the GS6 certainly looks worthy of the price tag Samsung has put on it, and that's before you get to the high-end internals and industry-leading display.
The camera in the Galaxy S6 is also an extreme improvement from years past, and arguably one of the best smartphone cameras to date for Samsung. Both services allow uses to pay with their phone at NFC-enabled terminals, however Samsung Pay also lets users of Samsung devices pay at nearly any credit card terminal -- even if the terminal does not support enabled.
Unlike the S5 — which had great battery life for most and featured a swappable battery — the S6 battery life was not on par for most, leaving many complaints about the need to charge frequently since the phone did not make it through the day on a single charge. It was first reported that Samsung would be ditching the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor in favor of the Exynos system-on-chip (SOC) for the Galaxy S6.
Nevertheless, the march of smartphone progress continues, and twelve months on it's about to be replaced by the Note 7. Detailing things to come in 2017 from the South Korean tech manufacturer leaves is wanting more, and we’ve only touched base on a fraction of next generation Phablet. With the Note 7 believed to be getting bigger, boasting more features, and offering consumers what they’ve been asking for, it’s hard to not get excited. We’re also hearing the Note 7 will boast waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof features along with wireless charging plus and expandable memory.
A removable battery will appeal to many, especially those looking for more juice when charging just isn’t an option. With Samsung working hard to move up the launch from September to August, it’s sounding to be more and more of a reality. This supersedes previous rumors suggesting the release date would be the third week in September, and aligns with Samsung’s goal of moving up the launch of all 2017 smartphones. Those in India will have to wait a bit longer with the middle of September the most likely. With expandable memory sounding to be a formidable feature, Sammy may do away with the larger, more expensive model.

There’s unfortunately no information on a launch date, but this news makes it more plausible that pre-orders will open up the same day the Galaxy Note 7 is announced. It’ll likely swap out the Qualcomm processor for Samsung’s own Exynos 8893 unit in select markets. First you’re going to have to choose a color, but your options will be limited depending where you get the phone. HTC is offering the unlocked edition of the phone in Glacial Silver and Carbon Gray for $699.
KDDI in Japan has an exclusive Camellia Red option that probably won’t make its way to many markets worldwide.
He's very talkative and enjoys discussing anything from technology and sports to video games and television. You can download the Fernanfloo v2.2 mod apk which is loaded with the unlimited coins and money for the game. You think you have what it takes to become Fernanfloo?
Alongside the S6 came the S6 edge, a variant of the S6 with identical specs, but with a curved screen that wraps around the sides of the device. It does this using built-in hardware that is able to talk to older terminals using Magnetic Secure Transmission — or MST — in addition to standard NFC transmission.
New features combined with better low-light performance make the camera on the Galaxy S6 one of the best we've seen on an Android phone thus far. It was later reported that the S6 would have an all-metal body, breaking away from the mostly plastic versions of the device in previous years.
Whether you’re one of the many Galaxy Note enthusiasts or are in the market for a true Phablet concept, Sammy’s hoping the new Note will be just that.
When individual carriers begin selling the HTC 10, customers could be able to buy the Topaz Gold version while losing one of the other options. A fingerprint scanner built into the home button offers added security for users, and is much improved from the S5.
It was also noted that two variants of the S6 would be made available -- standard design as well as a model with a curved screen. In the rare case that his phone or tablet is not in his hand, he is either flicking through cards on his Moto 360 (2015) or typing away on the Microsoft Surface Book. Every day Fernanfloo must battle an army of animals who are looking to stop him from broadcasting to you, his fans! Where the S5 required your to slide your finger to scan, a simple tap does the job on the S6 — and does it extremely well.
On February 22, 2015, the S6 was officially teased by T-Mobile, showing off a curved device with the line "Six Appeal". Justin is patiently waiting for the day that Google replicates the Galaxy Nexus with modern day specifications.
