Reach beyond the traditional wide angle lens, and capture more breathtaking shots with Sweep Panorama mode. Generous 2.7-inch (230K dots) Clear Photo LCD display features sharp and natural color that makes it easy to compose shots, read menus, and view photos, even in bright sunlight. Unlike traditional auto mode, Intelligent AutoMode (iAuto) mode thinks for you, recognizing scenes, lighting conditions, faces, and adjust settings resulting in clear images, faces with natural skin tone and less blur.
Face Detection technology detects up to eight individual faces and adjusts focus, exposure, and white balance to help deliver crisp, properly lit images of family and friends.
Soft Skin mode recognizes skin tones and reduces the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles without affecting the rest of the shot. Standard and Plus Dynamic Range Optimizer (DRO) uses a sophisticated algorithm to help recover shadows and highlights.
Self-Portrait Timer helps take the guesswork out of self-portraits by utilizing Face Detection technology to recognize when your face enters the frame. Simply press the shutter button and sweep the camera in the desired direction and the camera continuously shoots at a high speed, then seamlessly stitches the images together with automatic position adjustment to create one stunning panoramic image. Available in wide and up to 360 degrees full circle, the camera can take a variety of panoramic shots.

Sweep Panorama mode (up to 360 degrees)Reach beyond the traditional wide angle lens, and capture more breathtaking shots with Sweep Panorama mode.
Kids on the playground, landscape shots, a beautiful flower or an indoor birthday party; all result in clear images without leaving auto mode. This unit is easy to use, and is perfect for those who want a completely portable option for taking good pictures, without having to empty their wallet.
Thanks to its USB 1.1 connection compatibility, this digital camera lets you quickly download pictures to your Mac or PC, and can also function as a handy web camera. With Face Detection, Smile Shutter, Soft Skin, and iAuto modes, it’s simple to capture perfect portraits. Available in wide and up to 360° full circle, the camera can take a variety of panoramic shots. You can also select adult and child priority and indicate the degree of Smile Detection sensitivity. DRO is particularly effective when shooting backlit portraits or any scene with a dramatic constrast between background and foreground lighting. The QC-2185 includes eight megabytes of internal SDRAM memory, with the ability to expand camera memory via a built-in SD (secure digital) storage card slot for easy storage and transfer of your pictures. Here are five settings already built into almost DSLRs that will easily allow you to take DIY headshots, production stills, or other promotional photos without breaking open the manual.
Intelligent Scene Recognition can now be used together with Smile Shutter mode when the Intelligent Auto mode is on. In Advanced Mode, the camera takes a photo with the optimal settings and, if in difficult lighting (low light or back light), immediately takes a second photo with another optimized setting so you can choose which to keep. DRO Plus allows for even greateer optimization by analyzing each region of an image and performing additional image processing. This unit also includes a built-in auto flash with a three to seven foot range, and comes with ArcSoft PhotoImpression's photo editing software which makes it easy for you to edit, crop, adjust and improve all your best pictures to make them even better. Setting your camera to portrait mode will allow for quick shots with the fewest number of adjustments on the photographer's part. With Aperture Priority Mode set, the camera calculates the appropriate shutter speed given the lighting. And while this setting requires the user to juggle many variables at once, it also allows for the most freedom in capturing an image.

This means that beautiful smiles can be captured with settings optimized for the particular scene, even in difficult conditions such as twilight and backlighting. This allows the photographer to control how long the shutter stays open, which determines for how long light reaches the sensor. This setting is useful for long exposure shots, where a lot of light is needed, and for shooting in the dark. So while shooting in manual mode might not be optimal for shooting moving subjects in constantly changing light (outside on a busy street), it should be used when you have control over the environment (inside a studio or your home). Portrait mode uses a wide aperture (the size of the opening that's created when you open the shutter) and creates a shallow depth of field. With a large aperture (a large shutter opening), the subject of the image will be in focus, while everything else in the image will be in a softer focus, and appear blurry. However, using bulb mode will make any moving objects appear blurry or create streaks of light following the objects.
This means that the subject of the photo will be in sharp focus, while the background will appear blurry. A fast shutter speed will capture fast movement, but requires more light to illuminate the image. With a small aperture (a small shutter opening), the subject and background will both appear in focus, or will be closer in sharpness. You'll also want to use a tripod to keep the camera stationary while shooting in bulb mode.
This is perfect for headshots, specifically when shooting someone who's moving around outside, where the light isn't always under the control of the photographer. A long shutter speed requires less light, but fast movement objects will appear blurry and undefined.
