Start your day off with a healthy smoothie and finish the day off with a few-ingredient crock-pot dinner. With temperatures rising, the last thing you want to do is spend all day in a warm kitchen or eat heavy meals that will make you extra hot.Blogger Jenn Bare shared two recipes with ABC15 that will cut down on time spent in the kitchen and refresh you on days when the thermometer is ready to go through the roof. When the days are shorter, the sweets are in abundance, and the holidays are all consuming, sitting down together to eat a balanced meal is not always the easiest, and it certainly doesn’t seem like it should take priority.


I’ve always kept a bag in the freezer for lunches, snacks, and even last minute sides.
They also have dinner rolls, vegetables, side dishes, and sautes all with real, all natural ingredients and creative flavor combinations that taste fantastic! They are that little something extra to help create a balanced meal with real ingredients and an exceptional taste! But if you and your kids are anything like my family, then if you don’t get some real food in you, then you get hangry.
One of our favorite quick and easy meals are none other than…chicken fingers and french fries! You can use regular ground beef or make turkey or chicken burgers, you can top it with your favorite cheese or none at all, throw on your best condiments, personally I’m partial to BBQ sauce on my burgers, maybe some bacon if we’re feeling fancy and a side of onion rings! You can throw pretty much anything on a sandwich, leftover chicken-make a hot grinder, any deli meat you’ve got, pulled pork, slice up some bell peppers and your favorite veggies, or make a homemade steak and cheese, that’s a favorite of mine! This is one of the best ways to get a balanced meal on the table when you’re short on time.
Pair your sandwich with a side of Waffle Cut Fries, make a little dip or just a squeeze of BBQ sauce and you’re good to go!


So add a little flair to your cheese pizza, buy a pre-made dough or crust, (we are saving time here!) spread some sauce, add some cheese, and plop a few cooked sweet potato fries on top, bake it all together, and yum!
While my kids love pancakes for dinner, (and I do!) my husband and I tend to lean towards the more savory side of things.
Bare's recipe includes strawberries, bananas, Greek yogurt, spinach, almond mil and chia seeds.
