This is one of those recipes that probably needs the right setting to be really appreciated. As someone who doesn’t eat meat but who treats Asian food like a hobby, I was freaking delighted when I first discovered this recipe.
I added some cheese for extra flavor and because of its low carb value but if you are watching your calories, you can omit the sausage and cheese and maybe add a little more seasoning or a tiny bit of a sharp tasting cheese like feta or asiago which will give you more bang for your calorie buck.
I haven’t made them yet, but I can totally see myself inviting some friends over, opening a bottle of red wine, and cooking up some nuggets that are low carb, high deliciousness.
