The goal is to have my skin looking its best on September 20th, so I’ve been doing all sorts of things like drinking my weight in water, getting enough sleep, SPF SPF SPF SPF, more SPF, and exercising regularly. I did a lot of research in the beginning of the summer about which foods can help improve my skin tone.
I’ve been drinking this glowing skin smoothie everyday for the past month and have noticed a huge difference in not only my energy, but my skin has never looked better. This smoothie will be great for breakfast, since I’m in a diet mood now , and the glowing skin will be a great bonus to that:) I like all ingredients you used, although I’m not a big fan of coconut water, I’ll give it a try, might taste better in a smoothie. Just wanted to say that my family and I have been enjoying this emmensly for the last two weeks. I just found this site while looking for smoothie ideas to help my skin, rushed out and bought the ingredients and made it. Have had my eye on this recipe for r sometime now and finally our Australian summer has kicked in and the tropical fruits have hit the shelves! I have wanted to try this recipe for months and finally had a chance to do so today and the result is delicious.
I usually slice it up, sprinkle with a little fresh lemon or lime juice, and save it for dinner that night or the next day for another smoothie.

Probably stating the obvious here, but the skin is your largest organ, and if you are regularly sustaining it with soda and potato chips, it might not look optimal. Though they are certainly helpful, I firmly believe that the quickest way to glowing skin is not in your makeup bag. There is no added sugar in this smoothie recipe because we are using sweetness from the fruit.
I never thought you’d also produce skin helping foods on this blog- that would be absolute paradise! Love that this is a THICK smoothie – my favorite consistency when it comes to smoothies!
My skin has been, lets say looking older then normal and I think this will start to give me what my body and skin deserve.
I use coconut water for that same reason – I usually have coconut water on hand as opposed to the milk. You may see not only your skin improve, but also experience improved digestion, nice breath, amazing silky hair and healthy nails, higher sex drive and more!!
Sunflower seeds, almonds, as well as bright green, orange and yellow veggies will help you not only on the inside with much needed vitamin E and beta carotene; but they also protect your skin from UV rays. All the tinted moisturizer in the world won’t create the luminous look of a face whose body is happy and healthy.
Green smoothies are a simple and fast way to get your daily recommendation of vitamins such as Vitamins A and C, and drinking one every morning will get your skin glowing in no time. Although drinking water alone won't improve the skin's appearance, it's a much better alternative than most other drinking options.

My dermatologist told me that these carotenoids help give a rosy glow to dull looking skin. I usually stock up on fresh fruit in the summer and freeze it so I can enjoy smoothies with summer fruits all year long. Use leftover avocado (scrape the inside of the peel) as a moisturizer after the liquid C or after exfoliating to treat your skin.
Eat a healthy diet rich in fruits and veggies, be sensible about what you put on your skin and your body will reward you with healthy looking, soft, supple and glowing skin. Every day I get to go out and share the benefits of good nutrition and know that I can really impact people's lives by helping them realize optimum health.
