I find breakfast is a great meal to get Little One to eat a whole range of nutritious foods- calcium from milk and yogurt, protein from eggs, fibre and iron from toast and cereal and vitamins from fruit. I thought I would share some of our new favourite breakfast time ideas with links to the recipes.
Little One is a big fan of petit filous and yogurt for dessert, so I thought why not combine yogurt, cereal and fruit together to create a healthy cereal yogurt fruit parfait for breakfast.
Fruit smoothies are a great healthy option for breakfast, and for toddlers, adding milk and some yogurt adds extra calcium. What is important is that breakfast should be packed with nutrients to keep us energized throughout the day. I was disappointed in myself about not serving the kids breakfast; none of the other mothers even suggested a hint of judgment.
