So far I have signed up for the program, downloaded my first weeks worth of menu plans and recipes, done the grocery shopping, made the first meal and I’m working on the second. After I stopped drooling over the full color photos in the recipes I planned my shopping trip. I will update you as I make more meals but from the first meal I made {and looking ahead at the menu plan}, preparation and cooking isn’t too bad at all! This is where I’m documenting my Whole 30 eating regiment as outlined in the book, It Starts with Food. I think the fact that I am eating ZERO processed foods and NO sweetener is really bringing my taste buds alive.
There are some little ritual foods that I miss, like a nice glass of wine after a fun day with the family, pizza on Fridays, popcorn on movie night.
I highly recommend this menu plan to anyone wanting to learn how to cook more real food dishes on a budget!! I purchased all the ingredients at my local Whole Foods {where I got my organic produce and other organic items} and Safeway {regular grocery store}. For the next 30 days, I’ll be following a gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, soy-free, alcohol-free diet.
I feel like The Girl Who Knew Too Much.В There are so many hidden things in the foods we eat.

I imagine it will take awhile to get used to a different flavor than my beloved Best Foods. Not sure if that was the blood sugar issue, just a part of the diet to be expected, or the fact that I dreamt I drank a few swigs of hard cider and had a vicarious drinking binge.
