By the way, a thunderstorm kind of ruined my plans to finish these off on the outdoor grill. Also I’ve never put ribs standing up in the crockpot before, now I will never go back to laying them on top of each other so thank you! Liberally baste the top (meat side) with BBQ sauce, then close the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes. My husband has even convinced me, on occasion, to throw a slab on the grill in the winter…in Chicago.
They would not of held up to being removed from the slow cooker and placed back in in the same position. Flip and now baste the rib side (which should be facing up), close lid and cook for 2-3 more minutes. But i have ribs thawing in the fridge ready to go if someone can confirm success with this method! I got the ribs 2 full rack for 4.50 in the quik sell bin at grocery store and corn was $4 for 7 ears… Take that FAMOUS DAVES!!
