To lose weight and improve health, forget about the macronutrients percentages, and focus on providing yourself with the highest quality diet.
For some folks it’s just enough to eat “healthy” foods and follow general portion control guidelines. First I’ll talk about three food groups that are referred to MACRONUTRIENTS, they create the base for pretty much ALL “healthy” diets. A diet that provides sufficient amounts of carbohydrates keeps your body from eating its own muscles! But fiddling around macronutrient percentages is not the way to lose weigh or improve health.

All natural foods contain a mixture of fat, carbohydrates, and protein, although some (primarily animal products) contain only two of the three.
