Hi Carolina, Thank you for your comments and your compliments on our Liver and Onions Recipe. My roommate and I gave this a try tonight – was absolutely delicious and so easy to make! I never thought I liked liver and onions until I learned how to make this in my Cooking Class. I cook mine a little bit different with bacon grease and onions, and then steam that puppy a while until it is tender and makes its own gravy. Scroll down to where I take the meat out of the pan, and follow the same steps to make the gravy.
I’m sorry I left that step out, but thank you for being so observant and catching it. The juice in the pan never thicken into anything resembling gravy so I removed the liver and onions added flour to the drippings to thicken.


I’d just cook the liver for a few minutes as suggested, then make the gravy, add the liver back in, and let it simmer until the liver is cooked through to your liking. I drained the liver and then I soaked them in milk while I chopped my onions and got them cooked.
I am big on gravy, but my family is not so I will have to do it the other way another time.
