If you roast at home, you can take the skin off before cooking to make it extremely healthy. You will agree with me when I say that we meet a lot more people these days that are highly health conscious and have become increasingly aware of what they put inside their body.

This article was not meant to scare you but instead it was to share with you all what I have learnt in the last few years of me trying to be healthy and falling prey to the above fads many a times in my journey. Anything carbonated is definitely a no but yes fat free foods being unhealthy is such an oxymoron. All of these so called sugar-free food items contain artificial sweeteners like aspartame, sucralose, saccharin, etc instead of sugar.

But many studies have showed that they can be potentially harmful for our body by causing hormonal imbalance, Thyroid and are not easily digestible by the body. Of course we know that sugar is bad for our waistlines, skin and blood sugar levels but artificial sweeteners are worse. Not that soda has ever been considered healthy and most people are aware of the amount of sugar in soda, but what a lot of people don’t know is that choosing diet soda can be very much the worse of the two evils. One medium-sized carrot stick that you would find bagged in your local grocery store produce aisle, on average, contains about 5 grams of sugar per stick. You would never eat as much whole fruit in one sitting, as of that which goes into a smoothie.
So when you cut it up and use them in your recipes and salads, just be aware that they can build up quite the sugar content.

Fat-free foods that are available in the market are highly processed and void of the good fats which our body needs.
I am sure this will definitely make you think twice before you pick up that frozen packaged meat next time at the supermarket. Skimmed milk is in fact very unhealthy because it is not only highly processed but also does not have the natural fat which helps our body in digesting the milk.
Instead try out some healthy oats or muesli next time you are in a hurry to grab your breakfast.
