I'm currently (November 2014) studying with Precision Nutrition, The Essentials of Sport and Exercise Nutrition for a Health Coach Certification. It was quite frustrating being ill with such a myriad of symptoms and no one could quite figure out why. Making a lifestyle change like this was challenging and frustrating at first, but I started slowly changing my diet in 2008 and have been gluten free since and feel better than I have in years and actually look younger now and I turned 61 this year July 2014! I was constantly in the doctor’s office for thyroid issues, migraines, sinus issues, bladder infections, and depression as well as constant panic attacks. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia two years ago and was very sick until I decided to go on a cleansing diet of No gluten, dairy, sugar, or processed foods.

Within a couple of days I felt better and found out that I was sensitive to gluten and proceessed foods. I wish I could afford to buy one of those books for every ignorant school health tech who ever said to kids, "Gee, you're always in here." And I want to give one to the nutritionist I was seeing for weight loss & the dr. My new found love of cooking and eating turned its focus toward nourishing and healing my body with each bite of food on my fork. Besides that I cut out all the junk food I was eating before, in particular eating fast food every week. I used to have these itchy, scaly rashes all over my legs and arms before I went gluten-free that have never returned. I’ve finally figured out how to put both into remission with help from my sister who is an herbalist solely with some additional diet tweaks and amazing herbs.
