I love ghee, and am ecstatic that it’s Whole9-approved for the latest version of the Whole30. Watch for the bubbles to gradually get smaller, until the surface of the butter resembles a foam. Ghee will last for months without refrigeration, though it’s recommended that you store it away from direct light and heat and only use clean, dry utensils to remove it from its jar. Plus, I know a lot of folks don’t like the taste of coconut oil so ghee is a great alternative. I do have ghee in my fridge right now, but do not know if it is grassfed or not I really wish I had omghee available to me! I made my own ghee at home one time and I cooked it too fast so I think it was clarified butter, I will be doing this today! Ghee is cooked longer than traditional clarified butter which gives it a nutty, butterscotchy aroma.
