I don’t think that the message comes out as powerful as it really is without explaining why not to eat what majority of people consider the foundation of their diet.
One could eat super low carb and still with the wrong fats making too much of the diet end up with a high inflammation diet. Oz show because I think they make Paleo in this case, just another diet, used for loosing weight and just a new trend. She believes it’s the best diet to lose weight on because it incorporates a lot of fruits, veggies, and omega-3s to help lessen inflammation of the body.

I can have dark chocolate as a treat (or use cacao in a paleo brownie) and all of my cravings for chips and sweets have gone away.
I believe a big part of why Paleo has helped me feel so much better is that I transitioned to healthier fats. Most need to be told that paleo is hardly more expensive than the SAD, and it’s probably cheaper when disease and risk of disease can be reversed and eliminated. In general that diet seems less concerned about the health risks that go with eating many industrialized and processed forms of food, probably to keep it easier and cheaper for adherents.
Sure enough, Cordain did say it was a high protein diet, and if he qualified that with an explanation it was edited out.
But we concentrate on real food, local food and organic – which I think is the main point of eating this way. I think that paleo gives a tremendous power back to you to control the food, and if you want to eat something that is not strictly paleo, you make that choice yourself, knowing what it means. Anyways, love your show, blog, FB, we have been listening to you for a while and thanks to your show, paleo is the way we eat now (not a lifestyle:) for almost a year. We both feel great, lost a whole bunch of weight, my husband found love for fitness that he is just now turning into a career, and our almost 1 year-old daughter knows only paleo foods:)) Thank you for all your great thoughts and ideas, and the tremendous amount of work that you put in it!
