The 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA) encourage Americans to add more low-fat and fat-free dairy foods to their family’s diet.
The new guidelines call for families to increase their intake of low-fat or fat-free milk, cheese or yogurt, with a goal of three servings every day for those nine and older.
