I took an emergency call this morning, the local toddler group needed playdough and they needed it fast. As we’re not talking consumables I keep a bag of economy flour specifically for playdough. Sieve the flour, salt and cream of tartar into a mixing bowl (sprinkle in glitter if using). Mix the oil, water and food colouring (and flavour if using) and then pour into the dry ingredients. Mix with a spoon until it forms a dough and then knead for a couple of minutes until it becomes soft and malleable. I later posted a more detailed, traditional bulgogi recipe with video instructions, that uses Korean pear in the marinade. Wrap a piece of bulgogi in a lettuce left with a little bit of ssamjang, and put it in your mouth.
I have always wanted to try making bulgogi, and this simple recipe made it a great experience! I’d love to try this recipe, but I am terrible with slicing any meat into thin pieces.

The chicken tenders are first marinated in buttermilk and garlic and then rolled in a breadcrumb and flour mixture.
Deep fry chicken tenders in batches until golden brown and the juices run clear (the internal temperature of the chicken needs to have reached 165 degrees). I already made the marinade and am just letting it sit in the fridge some more before I cook it tonight. Prep time is almost nonexistent since all you have to do is chop some scallions and garlic, and beef is a quick, no-brainer to cook on the stove. Even though I marinated it overnight, I think I might add some cooking wine into the marinade next time – just so help tenderize the beef even further. I like watching the videos and I of course did not use the other bulgogi marinade recipe because not only could I not access some of the ingredients, but I do not have much fancy appliances such as a food processor.
