Wanted to let you know I used this recipe with just two small tweaks and won my first ever chili contest! Wow this chili recipe was really good, I’ll have to say its a one of a kind chili recipe. I used this chilli formula but rather took out beef and pork and included lean ground turkey. Hello – I used your recipe in a chili cook off this past Saturday and won it hands down. I had two bowls today and there’s plenty left for the week, if you served with salad and bread there would be more than enough. Made this recipe for a Superbowl party and it was gone in a matter of minutes with everyone asking for the recipe. I took all of these ingredients, multiplied them times 20, and cooked this chili for 165 guys.

Was thinking of subbing out the pork sausage for ground turkey, do you think that would be alright?
Only changes I made was I used chipotle Tabasco (all I had at the time) and only put in a heaping teaspoon of jalapeno.

I’ve made this chilli about 3 times, after never having made any chilli before, for my family and they loved it. Using 99% fat free turkey breast leaves little to no fat to drain enabling you to toss all of the ingredients in the night before and when you wake up, set it and forget it.
