My reason for doing the 9 weeks was because I had a goal to lose at least 60 lbs before I went to go see my daddy for Christmas. But I know how to limit myself and would never allow myself to eat an entire a€?bada€? meala€¦ too much guilta€¦ LOL!


I even went through the holidays baking cookies and breads as gifts for family and never once felt bad that I couldna€™t eat it.
I guess one of the things that I noticed about myself before I started my HCG journey was that I would lose my breath just bending over to tie my shoes. I can have Smoothies from Sheetz and they do not seem to affect my weight, but while at the beach for the wedding my Mom wanted a milkshake so I thought I need to try to see if that would be a no go or a thumbs up.
What was so good about these are that not only were they high in protein but they were also low fat, low calorie and very low carb. The damage had been done, and my body was used too this weight and had set my metabolism at a young age.
I am still able to maintain during my craving moments because I can still choose to have it, I just use portion control! I tried very hard the first few days to force myself to get the 500 calories in, to the point where I was making myself sick. I begged the doctor to please do an extension for me because I was determined to get off that truck and have my dad be so surprised at the weight I had lost. And I truly believe food prep, as simple as it sounds, is a HUGE factor in the success of this protocol. I cut my fruit out because it caused me to stall, and changed over to that and it fixed the issue.
The next day I had gained a pound and a half, so no milkshakes for Tracy I will stick with the smoothies.
Lol I guess ita€™s safe to say, the hardest part of the diet are the first few days of 500 calories. If I want a candy bar, I will eat one no dought, but they do have smaller candy bars to choose from. Lack of knowledge on this diet leads to stress, and stress leads to discouragement and giving up usually follows. Found that Slim Quick pills worked well for me, Ia€™m assuming because I had hormonal problems and didna€™t realize it. Daddy would always tell me I was beautiful when he would see me, or that I was looking gooda€¦ but it has been so long since I had heard those words, even though I knew he loved me, I dona€™t think he realized he had stopped saying it.
I have seriously tried my best to stay away from food that will mentally put me over the edge. I handled it by literally saying no to myself to any food that I couldna€™t eat, drinking lots and lots of coffee with Stevia since it is a good appetite suppressant, keeping the water coming to help with hunger pains, and removing all temptations out of the kitchen.
I still dealt with little cravings here and there but sugar-free gum and water were my friends during this time and it really helped. A After years of constantly being rejected by men and even women because of my weight, I developed an eating disorder, and not the skinny kind. Choose a time in your life thata€™s slow and routine That gives you the ability to totally focus on this life changing diet. Started going to the gym and lost weight fairly easily and did well until I remarried in 2010. I reached that goal and was beyond proud of myselfa€¦ I got off that truck and my dad was so shocked and those were the first words out of his moutha€¦ I crieda€¦. Like a cruise or special dance coming up that you want to dress up for and look good, or fit into that perfect dress.
I finally got up to the 250lbs and was depressed and began shutting myself off from everyone.
Quest also has protein chips, they do have a bit of carbs in them but still very low, and they are awesome. By the time I dropped out of college due to depression, I had weighted a whopping 210 pounds! I decided to stop there, but as time went on I thought, a€? Maybe I can loose more, id it possiblea€?? Over time I had done the diet a few more times and now, people have a hard time believe I used to weigh what I did.
