Warrior signed a record kit deal with Liverpool in 2012, but the success of the brand has encouraged New Balance to enter the football market and fold Warrior Football. Human rights conditions in clothing factories in countries such as Indonesia and Vietnam are often criticised but Richard says New Balance takes such issues seriously. The building, at a business park in Birchwood, is the global office for the football arm of New Balance.
Richard Wright, general manager of the Warrington-based football branch of New Balance, told the ECHO: a€?Ita€™s more than a job. Winning the Cup could be a platform for more success in the future.'It's great to play in front of these fans. The office is hi-tech and highly secure with meetings over kit design and contracts carried out in locked rooms.
In total there are around 130 staff working in Warrington including the 26 workers on the football team. The sportsweara€™s HQ also houses the EMA team which look after distributors in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The New Balance UK sales and marketing team is based at Warrington too and sells to retailers throughout the UK.
