Green Bay Packers fullback Aaron Ripkowski (22, formerly of OU) runs against the Oakland Raiders during the first half of an NFL preseason football game in Green Bay, Wis., Thursday, Aug. A complete listing of the Milwaukee Brewers' 2014 MLB Draft picks with a capsule summary of each. Round 27, pick 806 -- C Matt Martin (5-11, 190), Wake Forest University: Currently not listed on Wake Forest's roster, Martin's bio on the school's website says he played seven games in 2012 as a freshman before being shut down due to an injury.
Round 34, pick 1,016 -- RHP Carlos Leal (5-11, 180), Delta State University: The Brewers requested to have Leal listed as a pitcher although he hasn't thrown an inning in college. The Countdown to Kickoff series continues on with a look at Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Corey Coleman who has the potential to be an absolute star. There are exactly 19 days until the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers open up the 2016 NFL regular season with a Super Bowl rematch. As we continue to countdown to kickoff, today we are checking in with a dynamic rookie for the Cleveland Browns. The Countdown to Kickoff series began with a look at No. 99 Joey Bosa and has continued on everyday since (check out all of the posts here). After trading down twice in the first round, the Browns made Coleman a priority, snagging him with the 15th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Coleman was an absolute star at Baylor last season, bringing in 74 receptions for 1,363 yards and 20 touchdowns despite major quarterback issues throughout the season.
With game breaking skills, Coleman showed the ability to reach the end zone from anywhere on the field. Make no mistake, Corey Coleman is an elite-level play-maker who is going to make a difference at the NFL level.
Despite sitting out the first two preseason games with a minor hamstring injury, Coleman has impressed through training camp this off season. While the Browns made the wide receiver position a priority this off season and Josh Gordon is set to return to the field, they are not exactly loaded at Coleman’s position.
Simply put, somebody has the get the targets in the Cleveland passing game and Coleman is the most talented receiver on the roster. Also, Coleman’s primary ability as a deep threat receiver could make him an especially appealing weapon in this offense. RGIII should be able to get Coleman the ball deep with consistency, and the rookie receiver should be able to do the rest.
Corey Coleman is a legitimate Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate who will make an immediate impact for the Browns in 2016.

DeMuth hit .374 with five home runs and 40 RBI in 57 games for the Hoosiers this season, committing 10 errors at third base. Louisiana-Monroe fired its head coach in March, something that may factor into Burkhalter's decision. Salas threw a perfect game against Villanova in March, the 23rd in NCAA Division I history. After beginning his collegiate career at Auburn, Smith transferred to Cisco College in Texas without ever pitching for the Tigers. Redshirted his first year and suffered a season-ending injury after pitching in two games in his redshirt freshman season. Hirsch missed the last 31 games of his junior season with a wrist injury to his non-throwing hand.
Mahoney is 22 years old and was away from the game for two seasons while on a religious mission. He transferred to Dixie State from Cochise College in Arizona, where he had a 2.54 ERA in 46 innings in 2012.
Leal has caught for the Statesmen and is a career .336 hitter with two home runs and 64 RBI in 91 games. Transferred to Lamar prior to the 2013 season after starting his collegiate career at Pierce College in California. Coleman was named a consensus first-team All-American and won the Fred Biletnikoff Award for the best WR in the nation. A dynamic deep threat who can also make a significant difference in the short passing game, Coleman put together quite the highlight reel last season. Unless Gordon immediately jumps back to where he was three years ago, Coleman is likely to be the Browns’ primary offensive target in 2016. After making him such a high priority in the first round, the Browns are going to make Coleman an important part of their offense. Expected starting quarterback Robert Griffin III may be as inconsistent as they come, but he has always been a good deep ball passer. Stokes hit .340 with 17 extra-base hits and 19 stolen bases in his senior season of high school. He was named All-Big Ten first team for the second consecutive year  in 2014, helping Indiana to another conference championship.

Burkhalter went 11-1 with a 0.93 ERA with 117 strikeouts during his junior season of high school. Kole averaged 8.2 strikeouts per nine innings during his collegiate career and hits the low to mid-90s with his fastball. Yamamoto started against and beat Medeiros in the state tournament, pitching a two-hit shutout. Hissa pitched in the Northwoods League last summer, pitching for the Lakeshore Chinooks in Mequon, Wis. A story on Pelham in the Spartanburg Herald-Journal says the big lefty has touched 95 mph with his fastball while scouts told the paper they feel he has a chance to increase his velocity to the upper-90s. The site says the right-hander is underrated due to the fact he doesn't have the high velocity on his fastball as other top prep pitchers. White chose Arkansas-Little Rock over Ole Miss, Central Arkansas, Arkansas State and Louisiana-Monroe. Rookie WR Tajae Sharpe and kicker Roberto Aguayo also made sense, but another first-year player stood out here.
Woodruff started as a two-way player at Mississippi State but eventually focused on pitching. He is old for a high school senior and will turn 20 in September, something that may factor into his decision. According to Baseball America, Hissa's fastball sits in the 89-93 mph range, while he features three offspeed pitches. He participated in the junior portion of the home run derby at last year's MLB All-Star Game, winning the competition with 13 home runs using a metal bat. He'll have to improve his all-around offensive game in order to make the big leagues but he is said to have superstar potential. The concern with Harrison is his signability, as he is committed to play football and baseball at Nebraska. Scouting director Bruce Seid admitted Harrison may be hard to sign, but it was hard to pass up a player widely considered to be the best athlete in the draft.
