Moving Around in a Song
One of Capo's greatest strengths is its movement controls. While learning a song, it is essential that you can jump to important parts, and go back to repeat what you just heard.
To move playback forwards and backwards, do one of the following
- Click the fast-forward, or rewind button in the main window
- Use the right and left arrow keys on your keyboard
In conjunction with the markers, Capo's movement controls become even more powerful, as you can quickly jump to an exact point that you are interested in hearing again.
Jumping around using the markers
Markers allow you to quickly move to key points of the song while you're
learning. For example, if you're trying to learn the first chord of the verse,
you would typically do the following:
- Jump to the first verse marker
- Play the song until the first chord ends
- Stop the music, remembering what you heard
- Search for the right chord on your instrument
- Jump back to the verse marker again
- Play the song, checking the chord you just figured out
Jumping between markers:
- While holding down the option key, press the left or right arrow on your
keyboard to jump to the previous or next marker, respectively.
Jumping to the extremes of the song:
- While holding the command key, press the left or right arrow on your keyboard
to jump to the start or the end of the song, respectively.
