Active Rest Resting is a veritable shin splints treatment option that will do you a lot of good. Do not exceed more than 15 minutes while massaging the affected area. Taking the time to strengthen and stretch the calf muscles is another shin splints cure tip that you can apply in order to treat the condition. Like many runners, the first thing I noticed when I transitioned to a forefoot strike was the huge increase in strain on my calf muscles. I'm happy to say the burning subsided after a few weeks and ever since then I've been able to maintain a forefoot strike that feels good. To understand what a knot is, it is important to distinguish the normal physiology of muscles. Why Would I Want to Massage this Taut Band of Muscle Essentially Forming What is Known as a Knot?
The explanation I've heard my whole life, and from the physical therapist at my running workshop, is that pressure from a massage will physically break up the tight band of muscle fibers and help them return to their normal state. The good news about massaging your calves is that it is very easy to do and does not take a lot of time. The idea is pretty simple: get on the floor with the roller under whatever muscle hurts and start rolling.
I first heard of The Stick a little over a year ago when I was googling, of all things, how to massage tight muscles. If you're not familiar with The Stick then think of it as a plastic rolling pin for your muscles.
The stick is indeed versatile, and if you're traveling then it's easier to throw in a bag than a foam roller. When I was taking my minimalist running workshop last spring, I spoke to physical therapist Sanatan Golden about the tightness I was starting to feel in my calves.
Incidentally, if you find the lacrosse ball to be too hard and painful then you can start with a tennis ball and work your way up if you get used to it.
My shoulder is better than I imagined it could be in the amount of time I have been using it.
If you have a groin strain, you will feel pain within your inner thigh; if the injury is severe enough, you may have difficulty walking. Approximately 10% of ice-hockey injuries and 5% of soccer related injuries are groin injuries. Once you have suffered one Groin injury, there is a much higher likelihood you will suffer another Groin Injury compared to the average person. Certain Lower Back Issues may potentially cause adductor muscles; weak adductor muscles are more prone to strain than stronger adductor muscles. I was in a serious motorcycle accident back in July and broke 17 bones, had a collapsed lung, and had numerous twists and sprains along with a lot of swelling. To make a long story short, since using your products my pain level has gone down immensely and the swelling is finally under control. I am down to just walking with a cane now and will probably be able to get rid of that in about two weeks. The 4 Inferno Wraps and 2 Cold Cure products along with lots of prayers on my behalf have helped make the difference.
I still use the Freezie Wraps after running when I can and I still regularly use the Inferno Wraps before many of my runs and exercise to warm things up.
I recently had surgery on my left shoulder on Jan 4th of this year to shave down the bone to leave enough space for my shoulder joint to work. It seemed to be healing slowly, until I probably reinjured it trying to cut down a small tree.
The shot lasted until September and had another shot October 26 with a warning from the Dr that if I couldn't get any better through therapy by Jan 6 2011 I would have to have the full surgery with my tendons and muscles sewn up to the top of my Rotator Cuff. So I did some research for the last 2 months and kept coming up with the MendMeShop Left Shoulder Inferno Wrap.
The next day I did a few 60 minute sessions and I could feel my muscles ache a little bit, but NO PAIN praise God !!!
It'll seem weird for you to read this, but there are a LOT of people out there that don't understand how fast cold compression with a Leg Freezie Wrap® can get the swelling, inflammation and pain in your groin under control!
Building strong healthy tissue is part of the healing process and needs to be dealt with first! In order to get maximum blood flow to your groin, you need to help your body stimulate blood flow. When you put on a Leg Inferno Wrap® to treat your groin, you'll receive immediate healing benefits and provide increased blood flow to your damaged tissue. During a treatment, and for quite some time after you finish, your injured groin muscles (hamstring, quadricep, adductor, hip) will experience increased blood flow even though your body is at rest. Using heat when the energy is only pushing into the top layers of the skin won't give you deep tissue healing. Instead of having the heat energy force itself into your body by heating up the skin first, the Inferno Wrap® emit an electromagnetic energy that penetrates deep into your tissue creating the heat right down in your muscle. The best source of heat treatment is from a product where you don't even feel that much heat.
Your soft tissue will have a larger range of motion and increased extensibility of collagen tissue. I was in the middle of my training for my first Ironman triathlon in Florida, when my running had to come to a complete stop because of tendonitis in my right knee.
After a month off and using the Inferno Knee Wrap for one week I was able to start back where I left off in my run training and as of November 6th 2010 my Ironman dream is now a reality, finishing my training and the race in Panama City injury free.
When treating your groin with hot and cold treatments it's important to get the temperature correct.
24 to 72 hours after your initital injury or when you first notice pain and swelling in and around your groin to stop celluar damage, relieve pain, and decrease swelling. Before and after surgery during rehabilitation to control pre and post-surgery pain and swelling.
Anytime you feel your groin has been over-extended, over-worked, twisted, strained or sprained causing pain and swelling. We are constantly being asked, is it like a heating pad, is it like infra-red, is it like ultrasound, does it use a magnet? It's the only product we know that has been developed specifically to heal soft tissue injury in this fashion. While you're treating your muscle with an Inferno Wrap®, the increase in blood flow will also whisk away inflammation. As your body continues to heal from treatment to treatment you'll also notice a decrease in pain and your range of motion will improve.
Do you have groin pull, a groin strain, or any other groin injury that's painful, sore and always seems to get re-injured? During the healing process your body will fill in tears in your soft tissue with dense, brittle tissue called "scar tissue". If you're suffering from a chronic groin injury, scar tissue could be the reason why your initial injury just hasn't healed. You can quickly soften scar tissue and prevent further injury to your groin by increasing blood flow to that area. When applied before activity or work, the Leg Inferno Wrap® will also relax and lengthen your soft tissue to help improve your range of motion and prevent atrophy (wasting away) of the tendons and ligaments in your leg. Overall, continued treatment with the Leg Inferno Wrap® will maintain good health in your groin and significantly reduce your risk of re-injury. It may seem hard to believe, but regardless of what type of groin injury you have our Leg Inferno Wrap® will assist you in recovering from your injury faster and reduce the chance of degenerative conditions by maximizing blood flow where it's needed most, preventing further damage, and dealing with scar tissue. Like all our products, Inferno Wrap® are the highest quality products you will find anywhere. Not only do professional atheletes use Inferno Wraps®, but professional doctors do too! Physicians not only recommend the Inferno Wrap® but they use them to treat their own injuries.

A Groin Strain is an injury that is common in specific sports such as ice hockey, swimming, basketball, soccer, rugby, and dancing.
It wasn't until I began using your Shoulder Inferno Wrap that I truly began to heal and the pain slowly began to subside.
After several months, I still use the Wrap daily to maintain the healing and progress I've made.
For seven weeks now I have received help from a massage therapist and am slowly improving the range of motion. I am sure using the Wrap also helps the muscles "remember" longer the right way they are supposed to feel and function. That is why when I recently started experiencing pain in my shoulder, upper arm and forearm I concluded that I had aggravated an old rotator cuff injury.
That's when I went online and found the Mend Me Shop and the inferno wrap for the shoulder seemed like a good way to wrap the heat around the immediate area that needed treating.
Please be aware that this information is neither intended nor implied to be a substitute for professional medical advice. If you are suffering from a sharp pain in calf muscles of your leg, the causes of calf pain may be any of the following. Trauma – Trauma to the calf muscles can put excessive strain on them and lead to an injury or trauma. Chronic Pain Disorders – Pain in calf may arise from chronic pain diseases such as arthritis and fibromyalgia. Nervous Disorders – Calf pain in leg is often a result of nerve disorders like Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Diabetic Neurotherapy and Peripheral Neurotherapy.
Sleep Disorders – Sudden leg calf pain without any apparent cause such as over-exercise or chronic pain disorders may be a result of sleep disorders that you are probably unaware of. Circulation Problems – Pain in the leg calf muscles is often a result of poor circulation. Spasms – There may be spasms or involuntary contraction of the muscles in the leg which can make sufferers unable to walk at times.
Calf Pains are also associated with other symptoms like Varicose Veins, sleep disturbances and problems like sore throat, fever, fatigue, aches, cough and headache which are common in flu patients. This condition is also marked by severe complications that can be life-threatening in the absence of treatment. Respiratory Difficulties – Patients may suffer from respiratory difficulties such as shortness of breath and wheezing.

High Fever – People with this disease may also suffer from high body temperatures that may exceed 101 degrees Fahrenheit.
Change in Consciousness – Patients may experience a change in the level of their alertness.
The pain originates in the calf region of the legs or the fleshy tissue that can be found on the back of the lower part of each leg. Compression Bandage – Wrapping a compression bandage around the affected area helps limit the inflammation. Ice Therapy – Apply ice packs for four times every day once you start experiencing the symptoms. Many runners have had the experience of having a peaceful night of sleep interrupted suddenly and without warning by a severe cramp in some part of their leg or foot, and to make matters worse there is often residual pain even after the cramping has disappeared. As people age, leg cramps become fairly common and related to reduced activity, or muscle fatigue when the muscles don’t get enough blood supply. Certain medicines have been reported to increase chance of cramping, as well as alcohol, sugar and caffeine. If you have this problem, try increasing the consumption of calcium, using 600 mg calcium (carbonate or other) up to as much as 1500 mg, at night before retiring.
At the beginning, even a short run up and down the street was enough to leave my lower legs burning for two days.
I do, however, have a persistent problem with tightness and knots in my calves after a run.
I hope to research it more someday, but right now I'm just focusing on what I see as the most practical and immediate form of treatment that can be done at home: self massage.
I think it's worth noting that I also came across a theory that says applying pressure to the knot will literally starve it to death.
Some even look high-tech with hollow insides and ribbed patterns that are probably patented with space-age technology (which may explain why they cost so much). They're simple and versatile, and there are a million free videos online showing how to use them to massage every part of your body. When I began hearing mention of this magical healing "stick" on forums I thought it was some kind of inside joke and I just wanted someone to tell me the brand name of this mystery tool so I could look it up. I had already done a little massaging with foam rollers and The Stick, but was curious if he had any other suggestions. Sometimes I go for days with no pain and when it does come back, it is no where near the intensity it was before the Inferno Wrap. I was in the intensive care unit for 7 days and then in the hospital for 7 more before I was able to go home. I even take the Inferno wrist and back wrap to work and use it since I have a desk job that makes it possible.
I went back to my Orthopedic Surgeon for my follow up and had to have a cortizone shot in June so I could be painfree while on a long awaited vacation. I told him I don't want to go through the pain again, since I can't take pain medication due to my daily med I have to take for PTSD and can't take them both at the same time.
I printed all the material and showed it to my OS and he said to try it if I think it will help me. I will keep you all up to date a few times a week as I progress, along with any replies I might receive. In fact, your body started healing itself the moment you injured your groin and it's the blood in your body that makes it all happen.
Unfortunately, when you injure your groin (adductor, abductor, hamstring, quadricep or hip), you stop moving and the swelling sets in.
A lot of pain will probably disappear as the swelling disappears, and many people think that the injury's gone as soon as the pain is gone.
After the inflammation is gone it may feel like you can return to your regular sports, hobbies, exercise or other activities - but your groin is in a weakened state, unstable, and prone to re-injury.
You can help your tissue during this healing process by increasing blood flow with a Leg Inferno Wrap®.
It's a substantial increase in the flow of blood to your groin injury without the need to exercise your already damaged soft tissue.
A groin injury is much like a "wilted" flower; your body wants to heal the injury but needs a lot of nutrients to do it.
With BFST® your injured groin is constantly being fed with healing, nutritious, oxygen and energy filled blood.
This Energy Web® emits a uniform wave of healing electromagnetic energy over the entire treatment area. When they're emitted from the Inferno Wrap® they penetrate right through your skin and fat layers until they get deep down into your injured groin. The problem with using traditional heating devices is that the low-level energy gets too hot for our skin but not hot enough for our deep muscle, tendon or ligaments tissue.
This means the heat energy needs to pass through your protective shield to reach deep enough into the tissue to promote blood flow for healing. In this case, the blood is actually rushing AWAY from the injury site to the surface of your skin. NO, feeling the heat means it's only warming your outter layers of skin - much like baking a cake. This means that instead using an oven to cook a cake from the outside in, you're using another method to cook the cake evenly from the inside out. The Inferno Wrap® is the only treatment method available for use at home that improves blood flow and circulation on a deep tissue level. When you don't feel the heat, it means the therapy is working in your deep soft tissue which is really where you need it. It's the only flexible therapeutic wrap and it's patented technology you won't find anywhere else!
The truth is that our technology is proprietary and it stands alone to be what we believe is the most effective Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy™ product available. The parts of your body that are healthy will rapidly respond with increased blood flow and there will be little sensation in that area.
So not only do you heal, but with every treatment you can feel the difference - you can tell your injury is getting better. The human body will use scar tissue as a temporary solution and will try to build the scar tissue as fast as possible to heal a strain or tear in your groin. Scar tissue that grows on the soft tissue in that area will cause pain, swelling, stiffness and tightness. The scar tissue that forms in your soft tissue will be unorganized and won't line up properly with the healthy tissue surrounding the strain or tear.
If you have a groin injury with a lot of scar tissue and re-injure that tissue, even more scar tissue will grow to "fix the problem". Treating yourself with a Leg Inferno Wrap® is the easiest and most effective way to accelerate your recovery and deal with stubborn scar tissue. These therapies are the best home based, three prong approach to maximizing your leg muscle strain injury recovery process. Our products are quickly revolutionizing the way the therapeutic industry thinks about soft tissue treatments and come highly recommended by our customers and therapeutic professionals.

Why spend time in pain, off from work, and missing out on your active lifestyle when you can be proactive about your injury and the health of your body? In simpler terms it means the groin muscles pull the femur (large bone in upper leg) and knee inward. I then also sought the advice of a physical therapist because in addition to the pain I used to have before using the Wrap, I was still dealing with stiffness and a very limited range of motion. Initially I ignored the discomfort, thinking that that would make it magically disappear but, to my disappointment the pain only continued to get worse. I tried stretching exercises, massage, the heating pad and ibprofen but nothing seemed to be helping. A trauma can make you experience symptoms like acute pain, cramping or firmness in either or both calves of your legs. If you suffer from calf pain at night, you should probably get in touch with a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. Conditions like Varicose Veins, Arterial Insufficiency, Atherosclerosis, Venous Insufficiency and Deep Vein Thrombosis can cause this problem. Upper calf pain as well as lower calf pain is mild in the initial stages but can be acute in the later period.
The inflammation can be felt with hand in the initial stages and is clearly visible in later stages. If you experience tight calf muscle pain, you should get in touch with a professional healthcare provider.
Although these cramps happen to people of all ages, two-thirds of those over age 65 have them at one time or another. Getting moderate regular activity during the day, or stretching the muscles before bedtime, generally reduces the likelihood of cramps during the night, as well as wall pushups which stretch the calf muscles of the leg. Once the muscle is cramped, the only thing to do is to stretch it out – the sooner the better.
Magnesium citrate (400 mg up to 750 mg) can be used with the calcium, or add later after trying just the calcium. For dehydration, drink more water, not alcohol or caffeine, because they will dehydrate the body even more. Most people stop doing exercise or living active live for weeks because they are resting as a mean of obtaining shin splints treatment.
Of course, this is a normal part of the transition period and a big reason why people who switch to barefoot running are told to take it slow at first.
This wasn't a serious issue when my runs were short, but now that I'm consistently running above the 10 mile mark it's becoming more of a concern. That means the muscles that get sore and fatigue easily, the fast twitch fibers (the white meat as opposed to dark meat) that enable us to perform rapid, intense movements of short duration like weight training or throwing a ball are not always at work. You can also try moving your foot in different directions while the pressure is on your knot to see if it feels different. They're definitely easy to find and are now staples in any sporting goods or department store. It wasn't until I went to a Shamrock Fitness Fair in Portland and saw a vendor booth for The Stick that it finally clicked. A collection of spinning cylinders between two handles keep it rolling smoothly up and down your legs, or whatever you're massaging.
Since I just wanted to use it on my calves I didn't see any point in getting the longer, more expensive models. Without hesitation, he said "Try a lacrosse ball." I did just that, and used it like a foam roller by sitting on the ground and rolling it under the knots in my legs. Occasionally I'll pull out The Stick, but I'm really not much of a fan and don't understand all the hype around it when there are cheaper, easier and more effective solutions.
I received it in 2 days last Friday and was out of town overnight. So I didn't get to try it until Saturday night.
That means your vital blood flow can be reduced to a trickle, stopping the healing process! Even the slightest movement or twist of your thigh in the wrong direction can worsen the injury and increase the swelling yet again.

Blood brings new life to your cells by delivering healing nutrients and oxygen that are vital to your tissue. This energy travels deep inside your thigh - into your groin injury and surrounding soft tissue (muscles, tendons, and ligaments); stimulating the blood flow needed to heal your injury. The cord is long so you can sit or lie comfortably and watch TV, read or surf the net while you are using it. After the electromagnetic energy is absorbed by your tissue it transforms into Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy™. Turning up the heat with hot water bottles, hot baths or other heating methods that heat up the skin first means we're trying to push the energy inside by force. There's even a condition for overuse of a skin-level heat source called toasted skin syndrome, hot water bottle rash, fire stains, laptop thigh, or granny's tartan (reference: 1). After the timer's up you know your cake is fully-cooked without having to use a toothpick to check! Other gels simply don't give you the cold temperature you need to help with pain and swelling. The growth of scar tissue is ultimately what causes stiffening in your groin and leg, restricting movement and flexibility.
On-going issues with scar tissue can even turn an initial groin injury into a chronic condition. When scar tissue forms it doesn't come together as neatly as regular (healthy) tissue would. It even seems silly to think that those straws could land perfectly straight and all in the same direction. This scar tissue will also attach to everything in that area, including the surrounding healthy tissue as well. If you keep falling into the dangerous cycle of re-injuring your groin without proper treatment you could end up with massive amounts of scar tissue. Bring the energy, nutrition, oxygen, and life giving blood to your body to heal it properly. After examining me, the therapist said I didn't have rotator cuff issues just muscle issues, a thing called "frozen shoulder". It's only been a little over a week since I started treatments and I can say that I can once again imagine living without the that constant pain.
In some cases, such as in patients having pain behind knee and calf, tests like X-Ray Examination, Duplex Ultrasound Scan and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound may be conducted for a proper diagnosis. Calf muscle pain cure is usually done with anti-inflammatory medicines like Naproxen and Ibuprofen and analgesics (pain relievers) such as Acetaminophen. If poor circulation is the result of your calf leg pain, lightly massaging the region for three to four times daily can improve blood flow into the area and help in calf pain recovery.
If there is no improvement in condition, it is best to go for an immediate medical treatment.
It is most helpful if the person who has the cramp can relax the leg entirely, and have someone else put the stretch on the affected muscle. Since the magnesium may produce loose bowels, you may want to start with 100 mg and then increase to the suggested levels – or to bowel tolerance.
If a disorder of the circulation is responsible, then try wearing graded tension elastic support hose in bed. It can also be felt around the entire region where the muscle is attached to the bone. There are various conditions that can lead to shin splinters. Yes, if you stop exercising for weeks, the pain may fizzle out, but it will surface again when you start exercising again. You should be active while resting. After years of heel-striking in conventional shoes, my calves were not accustomed to this type of work and they had to gradually strengthen over time (my knees and back previously took all that strain, which was a catastrophe waiting to happen). When it looses oxygen, it looses strength, stops spasming and relaxes back to its normal state. Regardless, I do consider my health and running ability to be a high priority so I splurged on some of the trendy gadgets. I'm still not sure if it's a brilliant marketing name or just really confusing to outsiders. Let's just say I was the only senior who never played varsity and the only midfielder who never scored a point. I always thought foam rollers were the worst pain I could inflict on a knot, but that tiny yellow ball brought the pain threshold up to 11. I like your ideas and would also like to suggest that I’ve found my muscles are most relaxed in the morning after sleep.
I tried it wrapped over a sweater with a thermal shirt underneath and the heat went right through and felt like I was at the physical therapist. Most "weekend warriors" and amateur athletes will start going back to what they were doing before they injured their groin, and that's where they get it wrong. In addition, the blood carries away toxins and cellular waste cleaning the area and healing it faster. As for heat, regular heat waves are only absorbed into the top layer of skin providing little to no effect to healing internally. Scar tissue fibers will lay down over top of your tear in a cluttered, messy and jumbled up way. This can cause a long-term fusing together of the soft tissue in your groin that stiffens your thigh, reducing your mobility and making your injury even more painful! If for any reason you're not happy with any product you purchase in our shop, you can send it back for a full product refund. Wound this gently or normal blood flow to the area may get restricted and lead to further problems. This is even more necessary if you are experiencing other complicated symptoms like respiratory difficulties along with sharp pain in calf of leg. Some of the conditions that result in shin pain include periostitis, tendonitis and a stress fracture. If you want a lasting shin splints cure, you should be doing low impact exercise during your rest period. It is when they continue to fire or contract without releasing that a spasm or muscle knot forms. Releasing pressure then allows fresh nutrient-rich blood to flow into the now-looser muscle and start the healing process. Either way, this thing has gained a lot of popularity with runners and physical therapists in recent years. After I left the gym in 2008 due to it closing I started having problems about a year later.
And even if you were to use them this long, your skin would heat up to an uncomfortable level and you might even get burned!
Early treatment will help you prevent all kinds of complications and get rid of painful symptoms very quickly. Owing to the fact that these conditions have the same causes, placement and causes, they are all referred to as shin splint. If you’re suffering from shin splints no matter the cause, there are tips that you should apply in order to treat the shin pain. Good low impact exercises include stationary cycling, elliptical trainer, swimming or any other exercise that does not require the use of muscles for running. Applying ice massage on the affected area is another good shin splints treatment option. My advice is to ignore the fancy space-aged grooved ones because the cheaper plain, simple rollers work great. And like foam rollers, it isn't rocket science: take a handle in each hand and roll hard and slow over your knots, pausing and holding for 30 seconds or so when you hit a sweet spot of pain. Fortunately, those lacrosse balls are now finding a new and more practical purpose in my life.
After having a warm shower in the morning, I apply some heat cream to the calf muscle and begin with a gentle massage to warm the muscle then I use a rolling pin to work on the deep tissue that is causing problems. A fatigable muscle in spasm contains individual sections within the muscle that constrict and pull from both sides. Price aside, I have one other complaint: I found it tougher to get as much pressure on my knots by pushing The Stick with my hands than by just lying on a foam roller and letting gravity do it's thing.
Many people my age (55) don't even ever get in that kind of shape, let alone a year after a major accident with all the complications that I had. You're not supposed to 'feel' a lot of heat because the heat isn't treating your skin, it's treating your injury, increasing the blood flow right in your tissue. Do you consider it to be severe? Is the pain worse at any particular time of day, like in the morning or at night? What makes the pain feel worse?
The Stick makes it easier to isolate a specific spot, but for a deeper massage I found it difficult and inconvenient, especially with all the excess work on my arms and wrists. There is one thing that I found inconvenient about the lacrosse ball: while it's great for targeting a specific spot, I do appreciate how foam rollers cover more area more easily. For example, does exercise or long periods of standing worsen your pain? Does anything make your pain feel better like elevating your legs? Do you have any other symptoms like numbness or tingling? I should add that even though I've never heard of it happening before, I wonder how much pressure this thing will take before it just snaps into pieces. Even through I'm only in middle school cross country 2 miles was still burning my muscles I did this before and after both at practice and at meets and this helped me get through the pain and alson help me finish with out it hurting as bad! If I am not running or lifting weights you can usually find me doing various outdoor and home improvement projects. Medications may include pain medicines, anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), anticoagulants (blood thinners) such as Coumadin if there is a blood clot, and others.
Osteomyelitis will require extended use of antibiotics. For some causes of leg pain, physical therapy may be recommended by your doctor.
Neither his legs nor mine would stop twitching for quite some time, and even getting up and walking around did not help. It made sleeping impossible until finally our legs calmed down.Is there anything that anyone could recommend. Please be aware that I live in Oz, and what you might find common and everyday in your country may be different or not available in mine.
Thank you for your time and trouble.Leonie from Warrnambool, Victoria, AUSTRALIA Answer This QuestionWas this helpful?Helpful?
Kimchi is very hot and spicy so you need to eat it, like you would a relish, with something.
You can eat it with rice, eggs, meat, fish, tofu, or chicken or whatever, at any time of the day. I went online and looked for a list of acidic foods and found a website that gives a good idea of what foods are acidic and therefore should be eaten less often.
I hope that others who suffer night cramps will benefit from a change to their diet, it is helping me. Fair warning, night cramps can be so strong they'll break your legs, so do be careful about what you eat. I'm fortunate to have very dense bones, so mine didn't break, but they would have on someone who's bones are porous. It has a small amount of quinine which relieves leg cramps quickly for me, hope it works for you. It is very simple, chew 2 Tums, or any antacid that is taken for an acid reflux or upset tum.
