How to clean and declutter your home, best meditation practices, christmas gift free vector, free organizational tools for teachers - Plans On 2016

I don’t know about you, but when my home gets cluttered and out of control, I feel personally out of sorts and out of control. Because clutter impacts me so much, it is very helpful for me to have daily routines to keep clutter and stress at bay. Here is a 30 day habit forming plan I created for myself that takes loads of stress off my shoulders when I need to form new clutter-busting habits at my home! Make a list of four problem areas in your home — the ones that REALLY drive you crazy every day. Once you identify those daily clutter hotspots inside, think about areas outside of your home that cause you stress, frustrate or embarrass you regularly as well, such as your purse, car or front porch.
Now you can begin your plan of attack for creating 5 new daily habits to overcome clutter and stress in those 5 problematic areas! My office is the most difficult room to keep clutter free; I feel so much better when it is clean and orderly. We have a very small home with a livingroom, kitchen and powder-room on the first floor — all small rooms.
Thanks for giving us the opportunity for this wonderful giveaway – I’m addicted to both Target and the Container Store! My kitchen island is my mini office and where the laptops, cellphones, mail, school papers etc.
I have the most difficult time keeping the kitchen counter (located just as you come in from the garage) clean. Another headache-inducing mess is undoubtedly the tangle of cords always in use around your desk, like power cords for your computer and monitor, digital camera, and your phone charger. I’m sharing my 4 housekeeping secrets today in a spring cleaning article, so head on over to The Decluttered Home to read about how we keep up with our home!
I’m not obsessive about a clean house because there’s no way I could take care of three boys, work and write a blog if I were!

To safely clean your electronics, first power your devices down, then use a pre-moistened wipe directly on the screen and surfaces, leaving them streak-free.
Clip binder clips to the edge of the back of your desk and thread each cord (different sized clips will suit some cords better than others) through the metal part of the clip to its proper place and never, ever waste time detangling cords again. It’s a multi-purpose room that has to handle a lot, and things tend to accumulate there constantly. I think it is the last place I tend to clean and clear, so by the time I get around to it, I’m exhausted.
It’s centrally located, so we pass through it constantly, and everything gets dropped on the big island counter, on its way to where it belongs.
It becomes a dropping ground for things, and since nobody sees it but us, I have less motivation to pick it up.
For the reason that we have small kids in our house and they’re like everywhere, playing all around! When everyone comes home at the end of the day, they just dump their stuff on any available surface! We asked Washington DC's organizing and de-cluttering guru Nicole Anzia of Neatnik for some more words of organizing wisdom. But Nicole says these five missteps are the most common in her line of work — and most likely to derail even the best efforts to conquer clutter. But somewhere in there is the sweet spot of having a clean, fairly orderly house that inspires me to be at my best in other areas of life, without having to be obsessive about housekeeping.
I think it’s funny because when I have friends over they ask me how I keep my house so clean. The Inspired Room was voted Readers' Favorite Decorating Blog by Better Homes & Garden's magazine two years in a row, 2014 and 2015! For example, the extra small bowl is great for paper clips and the small square works well for pens and pencils. Perhaps areas such as your kitchen or bathroom counters, a dining table, the floor around the front door,  laundry baskets or your nightstand.

Plus our house is going through a diy renovation with hard wood flooring on the entire main level and things keep shifting into my home office, but never out of it. No matter how often I clean it it’s cluttered again within hours sometimes even minutes! It doesn’t matter how often I clean it off, the next time I walk through there, something else has landed. Instead of giving us additional organizing and decluttering tips and strategies, Nicole though it would most helpful to tell us what NOT to do when trying to harness chaos in our homes. And no, sadly for me these secrets are not  a team of housekeepers or professional organizers!
I learned just a few years ago that tips 1 and 2 were the foundation of keeping a house clean. I’m more productive, much happier and all around everything seems more awesome when my house is clean and free of clutter. I’ve considered having housekeepers someday, not for the every day stuff I can do myself, but just for some more major cleaning of showers and stuff I don’t like to do! To get started, check out my House Tour and my New York Times bestseller Love The Home You Have.
It also makes it easier to jump right in and sweep the floor when there isn’t a ton of stuff piled on it.
If you're donating something or giving something to a friend or family member, put the items in your car or make arrangements for dropping them off.
