Exhibitors will include nature photographer Ruth Hoyt, Weslaco Beautiful, the Valley Nature Center, the Estero Llano Grande World Birding Center, City of McAllen Recycling, local high school science clubs, Tobacco Prevention and Control and the Weslaco Lions Club. The fair also commemorates the Week of the Young Child 2009, an annual event started in 1971 by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, focusing public attention on the needs of youth and their families.
