Poptropica is an online role-playing game, developed in 2007 by Pearson Education's Family Education Network, and targeted towards children aged 6 to 15. When it first launched in 2007, Poptropica had three islands, Early Poptropica, Shark's Tooth Island, and Time Tangled Island. In addition to the available island quests, advertisers contract for temporary games that appear on the site, sometimes targeted to players of a certain age group or gender. On September 5, 2013, Poptropica launched Poptropica: Forgotten Islands, an IOS game, which allows players to meet new characters, play mini-games, and discover story elements about Poptropica by finding artifacts littered throughout the game. In episode 1 of Mission Atlantis Island, you found an amazing looking fortress at the bottom of the ocean. After you pick up the second puzzle piece, you need to send one last fish into the tank on the left. What you need to do is get a jellyfish to start following you and then get it to land on the circular area.
Break through the pink bars to find another puzzle piece and also a red fish will start following you.
Quickly swim all the way down to the bottom of the area as he chases you and then trap him in the cage at the bottom of the area.
Make sure you get the last picture of the markings at the very top of this area if you haven’t already. After you click on the dots in the correct order, the passage will open and you’ll be able to enter the lost city of Atlantis! When you start Mission Atlantis Island you’ll find out that Cam Jameson is shooting an underwater movie and he needs your help to get footage!
He gives you a file of the different sea creatures and tells you to find the key to the sub.
Climb up to the top of the one of the green poles and click on the bucket to spill it on the guy below you.
You’ll pick up the empty bucket after this.  Talk to the man with the red hair and you’ll see that he has the key to the sub but wont give it to you. Jump down to the octopus that’s sitting in the life raft.  Click on the octopus and you’ll fill up the bucket with ink. Now climb back up on the pole where you found the bucket and use your bucket of ink.  This will dump the ink on the guy’s head and he will drop the key to the sub.
Now go all the way to the left of the ship and use the key to unlock the crate where the sub is located. You need to find a way to flush him out so click on the bubble jet to block it with your sub.  Go down and click on the next bubble jet to do it again.
Move over to the right to find the third bubble jet.  Click on it to block the jet and the barreleye will come out of the cave.
Click on the barreleye to film it.  Once you have the footage, drive up and to the left and enter the cave pictured below. Run to the left through the cave and you’ll find yourself in your sub again.  Drive down to the left to find the angler fish.
Get the orange fish to follow you down where the angler fish is.  Try to film it but you’ll need to get more fish. Drive your sub to the right to find more fish.  You need to have 3 fish follow you to the angler fish in order to get enough footage.  Watch out for the prickly urchins because they will scare the fish! Now leave this area and go back into the cave.  Once you go through the cave, drive your sub to the right until you see the cuttlefish.
The purple cuttlefish is using camoflage to hide so you need to get it to go somewhere where you can film it.  You need to spook the purple cuttlefish so that it swims into the red coral. This might take a few tries to get the cuttlefish to move to the red coral reef.  When the purple cuttlefish is in the red coral, click on it to get footage.

The stonefish wont come out if he can see you so hide in the yellow coral to your left.  When the stonefish comes out, click on him to get footage. Now you’ll see a Hydromedusa.  Follow it to the right and you’ll be able to get footage of it. While you’re filming the Hydromedusa, you get surrounded by a school of them and they send you falling to the sea floor. Cam Jameson tells you that you need to get back to the surface but first drive to the right.  What IS that?!? Looks like you’ve found the lost city of Atlantis!  That’s all for part one of Mission Atlantis Island…to be continued. The first episode of Mission Atlantis will be released for members to play on Thursday April 17th!  The first episode of Survival Island, Crash Landing will also be available for everyone to play that day!  Mission Atlantis: Into the Deep will be available on iPad shortly after the new island comes out. The Creators have also released a new Mission Atlantis desktop wallpaper that looks pretty cool! The Creators Blog announced the next Poptropica island on Friday!  The new island will be called Mission Atlantis and will be released in separate episodes, just like Survival Island. As you journey deeper and deeper into the ocean you’ll see all kinds of different animals.  But then something happens and sends you traveling towards the ocean floor. This is where I think you’ll find the lost mythical city of Atlantis!  They haven’t shown any pics of the city yet but I can’t wait to see it!
Check back to this page for a full walkthrough guide and cheats as soon as the island comes out!
We've got this blog (we call it the Journal), full written walkthroughs for every island and quest in existence, and videos too! You have to find food in the foothills of the mountains you were in before, while all the time the same creep with the binoculars now has cameras examining your every move. Poptropica was primarily the creation of Jeff Kinney, the author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Regular advertisers have included Disney, Kellogg's Froot Loops, Lego toys, and various animated movies and DVD releases. These include Twisted Wizard, Switch, Sudoku, Hoops, Sky Dive, Paint War, Star Link, Balloons, Soupwords and Pathwise.
It is an activity book that walks the player through all the same steps the developers take when they make a new Island: Coming up with a storyline, creating characters, and designing puzzles.
The first one is easy, just move the pipes like pictured below and then click the red button. Before you exit the area, go below the tank and take a picture of the markings on the wall. Make sure you get a picture of the markings near the top of the area too, here is the first one. Mission Atlantis will bring you all the way to the bottom of the ocean to a lost mystical world, check it out!
I WATCHED THE VIDEOS AND THEY DIDNT HELP AS MUCH BECAUSE I HAD TO KEEP PAUSING AND UNPAUSEING!!!!! Members can get that starting now as well as these two cool costumes that we saw in some Daily Pops: Not awesome enough yet? As of 2015, he remains at the company as Creative Director.[1] In the game, players can go to different 'islands' (game quest scenarios), compete in multiplayer games, and communicate with each other.
Each island has its own quest, for which a player can receive an island medallion as well as 150 credits to spend in the Poptropica Store.

The islands all have various difficulties, but all center on a problem that the player must resolve by going through multiple obstacles or completing goals.
Starting July 6, 2011, Poptropica allowed players to replay islands, while still keeping all the Island Medallions they had already earned. Here's the promo-speak: Everyone is dressed up for the biggest sci-fi and fantasy convention in Poptropica. First of all, the Creators have released an official video walkthrough of it, for free, at the immediate second that the island released. All islands, upon finishing, award "Poptropica credits" which are non-negotiable but may be used to buy costumes and special effects in the Poptropica store. In the "ad-stage" the background is whatever the islands theme is, there is also a board linking to that advertisers website.
At PoptropiCon, the most important thing isn't what you do — it's how you look doing it!
You can literally build or destroy anything in the world --- and it's a MASSIVE world -- and it SAVES! They match the six glyphs found in Episode 2 (which represent numbers in the alien language). Whatever it is, I'm hooked :)It would be nice if the woman in the vessel would show some emotion about being cut down and dropped into the depths of the ocean--just my two cents. Both are shown to have secretly known about Earth life for a long time (the timeline from the alien base, pictured right; and the goblin shark trapped for 125 million years).
I think it's my most detailed one so far, with time codes in the description if you need them. Actually they just shoot stinging cells (called nematocysts) into flesh which are covered with poison, making you feel like you've been electrocuted. In it, you actually have to costumize specific items from different people in order to advance in the island, as well as do a lot of negotiating. They've been watching us from perhaps as far back as Nabooti Island (the totem statue was an alien spacecraft after all and the gems had inscriptions similar to the Lunar Colony ones). It starts off with a chase scene, where you try to escape from Van Buren, and this guy helps you. The next island centers around a convention about Poptropica — Poptropi-con, if you will. His name is Merc (or it may be Max McGullicutty, from the Survival 3 plane manifest -- it would explain why he's wearing a tie), and he's your true rescuer in Survival.
There'll be plenty of (very bad) cosplaying as various Poptropica characters, and it will take place in somewhere near the Bay Area. And the thermometer is just lethal; look away for a few seconds, or switch tabs to write your walkthrough, and you're dead when you look back. If you'll remember, the last iteration of Lands had little "pets" that would be automatically generated and bounce around the land.
It'll probably be followed by Arabian Nights Island (which is most likely pushed to 2015).
Also, though Survival so far has almost no story (except the creepy binoculars scene) and has a ton of little unfinished plot hooks sticking out (wet kindling that you never use, owls hiding in EVERY SINGLE TREE, part of your ax stuck in a trunk, a sleeping bear), I think it (and all episodal islands) is going to be very long. Even though they're spread out, I think this will give us more room for a real story to happen; that's why Survival starts slow. So far, there's no sign of the knight, table and dresser shown in the picture to the right. You can use them in the Poptropica Land contest if you choose to enter (come on guys, I know you've got cool stuff to share for prizes!) In other news, the final episode of Mission Atlantis also released for non-Members today, and the penultimate episode of Survival has been out for a while. I'm almost certain that Mission Atlantis is going to have at least one more episode before the end of the year! And according to this tweet, the Android Poptropica app won't be here until September (it was previosuly promised for July) Stay tuned to the Journal; I've got some top-secret insights into Survival Episode 4 coming up!
