This course is HSENI Approved and is for anyone who wants to receive training in emergency first aid. The Emergency First Aid at Work course will allow you to apply basic first aid techniques to a variety of situations from conscious to unconscious casualties as well as dealing with breathing and non-breathing casualties. It is accredited by Qual Safe and on successful completion of the course and continual assessment, the delegate will receive a Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. CommunityNI is developed, managed and hosted by NICVA - Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action.
The Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) is suitable for anyone wishing to learn basic first aid skills or where an employer’s assessment of their First Aid needs identifies that a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work(QCF) is not  necessary, the minimum requirement for an employer is to appoint a person to take charge of the First Aid arrangements. This course is ideal for individuals who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and First Aid and gain a recognised qualification in First Aid.
The duration of this course is 6-hours, consisting of theory and practical work with assessments and a written assessment. This Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work course is informative, fun and innovative. EFAW training enables a first-aider to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work.
FAW training includes EFAW and also equips the first-aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses.
This 1 day course is suitable for smaller businesses that have identified a need to have employees who are trained and certified to the standard of this course by an official first aid training provider.
The EFAW course covers the essential elements of first aid, giving the trained first aider the skills and knowledge to deal with an emergency situation until help from the ambulance service arrives. Upon completion of a practical and multi choice assessment, successful candidates will gain an Emergency First Aid Certificate valid for three years. Most courses are arranged for dates and times to suit you, though we do schedule a number of popular courses that can be booked on request (see the Scheduled section at the foot of this page for further details). Attendees will receive a HSE accepted Emergency First Aid at Work certificate on completion of this course, which is valid for three years. The syllabus is completely tailored to the health and fitness industry and will include highly relevant, practical scenarios to improve your understanding and confidence in first aid situations. Those working in the health and fitness industry will benefit from his understanding of first aid in the work place.
In her first aid training courses she shares her extensive experience of common first aid situations from burns and bleeds to choking and breathing issues.
