When asked, Bangladesh education minister Nurul Islam Nahid attributed the success to the trend of securing good marks in English and mathematics. The Dinajpur board’s success rate stood at 87.16 per cent, with 7,431 students getting GPA-5. However, the number of GPA-5 achievers significantly rose to 3,524  from last year’s 1,205.
Dakhil students under the Madrasa Board faced tests in English and Bangla, bearing a total of 200 marks, while SSC students, under eight general education boards, faced 400 marks in Bangla and English.
