As we all know, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas is one of the biggest events in electronic dance music today, so you better believe that all the artists in attendance are bringing their A++ game when they throw a live set at this spectacle of an event. Think of this page as your home base for all of the EDC Vegas Live sets for 2014, as we will update this post as more sets are released from all three days of the festival.
Run The Trap was created in July 2012 to bring underground trap music, Hip Hop, Club Music and other related genres to the forefront. We hope you don't only get your Trap Music fix from our site, but you allow us to help you diverge into various other related underground bass music genres; as well as expose you to some of the culture, style and fashion that exists amongst these communities.

Hardwell brought his standard, grade-A level intensity to the main stage on Friday night at EDC. EDC Las Vegas 2014 inevitably set the standard for festival production in the United States. Strategically placed columns featured layers of speakers and lighting devices. Standing towards the back of the arena, the lights seemed three-dimensional. Now that the music is over, the crowd is gone, the stages have been dismantled, and the lights packed away, what’s left? Imagine a place where an electric vibe runs through your body fueled by the thumping bass of music, matching the beating of your  heart. The 18th annual Electric Daisy Carnival returned once again to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this year in true Insomniac style.
Insomniac never fails to bring in some of the most sought-out talent from all over the world. Kinetic Field this year was categorized as one of the largest stages built to-date for Insomniac.
The Circuit Grounds dome made its triumphant return once again this year doubling in size with over 10,000 square feet of video panels which descended a-top the dome’s ceiling into the crowd below for a truly remarkable visual experience. Cosmic Meadow was not left out of the upgraded expansion treatment given to the rest of the stages. The Basscon Stage theme is one that we truly enjoyed witnessing ever since it’s debut last year. Aside from elaborate stages, production, and talent: a wide arrangement of art structures was spread around the speedway layout once again this year.
As the 4th of July weekend comes upon us, it’s hard to look at your local pyrotechnics show and be content with it. We must give a huge thank you to Pasquale Rotella and the Insomniac team for making all of this happen. Este fin de semana se han reunido en Las Vegas, durante el emblematico festival Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), muchos de los mejores artistas de la musica electronica. Luckily for us, our fearless leader Pasquale Rotella took to Facebook today to give us the heads up that the EDC Las Vegas announcement will be on November 18th. The announcement will include the official date for the event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, as well as on-sale dates for the Headliner Loyalty pre-sale and regular tickets for EDC LV newbies.
So of course we had to hook you up and pull together all of the EDC Vegas 2014 Live sets for your listening pleasure.
Check out the list of live sets below, and holler in the comments with the sets you are feeling the most! We at Run The Trap are very selective of the music we post, and make sure to only share the utmost quality works on our website. DJ Isaac was playing just before midnight when the superstar trance DJ hopped up on the turn tables to greet the crowd. There are always people dressed up like African wildlife, and some people dressed in as little as possible. The stage design, festival entertainment, amusement features, rides, art displays, and guest accommodations all exceeded expectation.
Each column on the stage served as a flamethrower that radiated heat across the entire crowd. There were more than a dozen massive features scattered around the stage that lit up in different patterns; some projected light across the crowd, and other spat fire.
Hosting the EDM Biz conference days just a few days leading up to the main event, Insomniac did not spare a single moment to kick-start the festivities. From artists like Tiesto, Kaskade, Armin Van Buuren, Above and Beyond to Audiofreq to Dubfire to Simon Patterson (to name a few), the musical spectrum that Insomniac crafted for this year was far and wide.

Also the Wide Awake Art Cart and the popular BoomBox was a centralized stage, which hosted some smaller crowds at the speedway. Boosting approximately 440 feet wide and 80 feet tall, the gigantic “cathedral” was layered out by a large organ where DJs were stationed, surrounded by two larger than life owls overlooking the crowd. Measuring at approximately 400 feet long, the dome featured more than 750 assorted lighting features and lasers that can be easily said to be quite a success within the crowd favorites. Doubling in size, this stage was another major accomplishment that overtook the festival by storm this year. A beaming pyramid that could be seen behind Circuit Grounds often looked like a teleportation portal of sorts with its mystifying outlines. Giant mushrooms, the world famous electric daisy, bamboo city, hug life stations, and a 3D backlight gallery were just some of the 20+ art installations that added on to the electrical experience only found at EDC. One can agree there’s nothing like a good 4-6 minute fireworks show that only happens at EDC while an artist is throwing down a set at one of the stages. This year the space and layout to accommodate the growing crowd was noticeable, as the capacity grew. It’s been an amazing experience getting to witness this year’s EDC come together and getting to witness all the hard work that everyone puts into making this mystifying world happen. Tres dias llenos de la mejor musica que se ha podido disfrutar en directo a traves de EDC Curated.
After a mind-blowing EDC Las Vegas 2014, dance fans from all over the world were left wanting more.
There’s a wide selection of live sets up for streaming, from Carnage, to Yellow Claw, Flosstradamus and Datsik, to Oliver Heldens, Martin Garrix, Carl Cox, Madeon and Hardwell.
Despite being a veteran festival headliner, he doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all.
The duo that used to tie together long trancey build-ups and tripped out bass drops is not breaking fences and generating whiplash to headbangers.
Isaac has a lot of experience playing at Q-Dance inspired areas of EDC festivals, but that seemed like a special moment for him, too. During EDC week, 140,000 people all found their own way to be themselves, and share themselves with the world. Festivals tend to bring out the good, the bad, the fashionable, and the crazy in attendees. It would have been difficult to count the wedgies as most women left their rear-ends out to be admired. Most importantly, health & medical staff was actively engaged and involved with the crowd. The stage was 440 feet long, 80 feet tall, featured 28 LED displays, 1,000 light fixtures, 30 lasers, and required 2.5 million watts of power to function. The massive, hand-painted owls on each side had LED eyes, and the big-screens were scattered around the area giving the Kinetic Field an arena-feel.
Being so far away, it was sometimes difficult to see the DJ, but hardstyle is all about the dancing, headbanging, and fist pumping. With fire-spraying pillars lining the crowd and a layered pyramid design fans were able to feel the intensity of the stage from the entire area. The long, tent-like structure featured acoustics that amplified the massive speakers around the entire arena. Not only was the grassy area soft to dance on, but it provided a cool surface for people who needed a break from the desert heat. During certain songs they would flash simultaneously, illuminating the entire arena; the crowd went wild. Pasquale Rotella mentioned Zima and sirensCeol as his two most anticipated discovery performances this year. Imagine a place where lasers, fire, and world class lighting production coupled with hundreds of theatrical performers turn the night into day. For the crowd that got to witness Eric Prydz’s “Laser Beam” experience, you know what we’re talking about. It was hard to miss due to the positioning of the stage right when you walk down the grandstands through the main entrance of the speedway. This year, a post-apocalyptic Cyclops took over the stage, housing the artists in it’s mouth.
Stage 7 by 7UP was a treat for many this year; incorporating an interactive layout where headliners could walk up on a deck overlooking the crowd and artist below, a disco ball seemed be the centralized piece that worked well along with the led panels that surrounded the stage for a more intimate feel. Just like any other carnival, the festival featured approximately 30 carnival rides for everyone’s enjoyment for free which (besides a short wait for some of them).
Whether it was someone’s first time attending or a veteran returning, there was no shortage of the amount of unity we all felt at any given night.

With all the recent hype surrounding Beyond Wonderland, Escape from Wonderland, and EDC Orlando, Insomniac lovers have been waiting on the edge of their seats for the official EDC LV 2015 announcement. Expect him and the rest of his ASOT family to continue rocking massive stadiums and festivals for years to come. Infusing sharp wubs and dubstep to their historic hippy-inspired melodies, Infected Mushroom delivered a unique, modern sound that was one of the most energetic sets of the festival. Several DJs made surprise appearances on the BassCON stage including Dash Berlin, Paul Oakenfold, and Carnage. Did I mention that the LED screens attached to the ceiling were lowered down directly on top of the crowd? There was stadium seating in the back of the crowd that gave us a great view of the stage and a place to rest our legs. VIP attendees had a special viewing platform that allowed them to look down on the DJ booth; a view usually reserved for helicopters and cameramen. The stage was hidden inside the racetrack and surrounded by vendors and other environmental displays. Growing from last year, it’s safe to say that everyone was treated to something much bigger and so much better.
Look closely and you would have seen your favorite DJ jumping up and down to those fast hardstyle beats. The return of the wedding chapel this year was one of our personal highlights as we witnessed a few couples take that large step to proclaim their commitment to one another (about 70 legal weddings took place this year according to Insomniac). From hearing your personal stories, to trading kandi with us, to even offering us a small gesture like offering us water, we look forward to seeing what the rest of the 2014 holds. There are a lot of things that go into making a festival successful, and there’s even more that festivals try to accomplish to make the event something extraordinary. Through three full evenings, and more than 30 hours of exploration, we never lost interest in the outfits, costumes, and bare skin. By the end of the evening, the bass vibrations and energy of the crowd actually began to break the fence at the front of the stage. The brilliant engineering behind this stage gave fans a festival experience of massive sound, technology, and theatrics. The sound from the Cosmic Meadow traveled through dozens of the art exhibitions around the lawn.
When asked which set he was most looking forward to at EDC in 2014, Insomniac CEO, Pasquale Rotella, mentioned Carl Cox at the Neon Garden as his favorite. A family that you could just hug and embrace at any given moment, knowing everything will be okay. From the beautiful stage setups to their intricate designs, visual effect productions, and talent all came together to celebrate life and the dance music culture. If you’ve heard it, if it makes you move, you best believe you’re bound to have heard and encountered it at EDC.
For those that were looking for the “underground” vibe, Cosmic Meadow brought the “underground” to the forefront.
It takes a large amount of time and creativity that can only go into a prestige event like EDC. Several bass-heavy performances headlined this stage, including Diplo, Flosstradamus, Knife Party, Bassnectar, and Dillon Francis. The stage was also home to a variety of different acts like Carnage, who played a special hardstyle set, and Andrew Rayel who took us on an epic trance journey.
EDC for us and for a large majority of others is a getaway, a getaway from the hardships and monotony of our daily lives. The stage was exactly what we look for in a festival area, but didn’t have much of an EDC feel to it. It’s not often you can go deep into a world where you don’t feel judged, or upset, or can just get a token of appreciation for a kind act. For that, we truly are grateful that year after year the Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas comes around and reassures us that everything will be okay, that at the end of the day we are just grown up kids enjoying life and what it has to offer.
