Over 80,000 schools (grades K – 8) participate in the Box Tops for Education program. In fact, since the launch of the Box Tops for Education program in 1996, over $525 million has been donated to participating schools! Cutting and saving up the Box Tops for Education labels are such an easy way to make a big difference in your kids’ classrooms. By purchasing bonus Box Top labeled items at Walmart you can rack up lots of money for your child’s school really quickly! I’ll be stocking up on lots of bonus Box Tops for Education cereals for school breakfasts! I plan on also letting family members know that we are collecting Box Tops for our local schools.
Using some of the delicious Yoplait® Orchard Peach Yogurt I purchased, I whipped up a Tutti Fruitty After School Smoothie for my kids. While the summer vacation offers the kids and myself a break from the school routine, there’s one thing that I continue to do, collect Box Tops, throughout the summer. It’s free money for our schools from products that we normally buy, so the 2 seconds it takes to clip the label is worth it. Whenever we stop by Walmart, the kids and I are on the lookout for General Mills® products that contain Bonus Box Tops. Box Tops for Education has contributed over $525 million to participating schools since the launch of the program in 1996.

August 30, 2015 By Sarah Roe Leave a Comment We have been talking all about Box Tops for Education in our house and the BONUS Box Tops that can be found at Walmart. He talked about the new kids he met, his favorite subjects and all the different things he was looking forward to this year. Of course, about halfway through the clipping process someone had to stop for a snack break.

Collecting Box Tops can be a family affair, my kiddos can spot the products and come home and clip them.
This upcycled scrapbook craft is part of a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of General Mills®.
The first thing you need to do to create your upcycled scrapbook is to cut your selected box to the right size.  I found that using the front and back panel of the granola bar box gave me two pieces of cardboard that were approximately the right size. Your entire upcycled scrapbook will be held together with loose leaf binder rings.  You can use 2 or 3 depending on how large you chose to make it.  Next, attach a few pretty ribbons to your binder rings to give your eco friendly craft a bit of pizzazz! About DianeDiane is a professional blogger and nationally certified pharmacy technician with two teens, one husband and more pets than she will admit to. Diane is a busy mom of two hormonal teens who is trying to stay sane in the chaos of suburban life. Last week we went shopping for General Mills products with bonus Box Tops for Education at Walmart. YOUR school decides whether they want new sports equipment, new computers or whatever you need! For those new to Box Tops, Box Tops for Education are those little rectangular cut-out, pink and purple labels on certain General Mills® products. Because I’d been collecting Box Tops since he was three years old, when I first sent Big Brother to school he was able to take his teacher over $10 worth of Box Tops for Education! I just picked up a bunch of General Mills items at Walmart that had bonus Box Tops on them!!! This means if you click on the link and make a purchase we may earn a commission fee at no extra cost to you, which helps keep this site running.
As summer winds down we of course start to make lists of all the school supplies, snacks and other things the kids will need and enjoy over the next school year. Send the Box Tops to your local school and the school’s Box Tops Coordinator will collect them. She lives in Hampton Roads, Virginia where she enjoys creating recipes, learning how to do things smarter, photography, tech, gardening, and herding cats.
When it comes to collecting and clipping the Box Tops found on select General Mills® products, I’ve become a pro, and now finally have my husband on board. Plus, throughout the year each classroom competes against each other in fun competitions to see who can bring in the most Box Tops.
This past week, we picked up a few of our favorite products that also contained Bonus Box tops including Pillsbury Crescents, Reece’s Puffs, and Nature Valley Granola Bars. Box Tops are found on select General Mills® products, and each box top is worth $0.10 for your child’s school. We started a new school this year and while both kids were excited, my oldest was a bit nervous too. It also led to a conversation about giving back and blessing those around us including our school.

Voila!  You now have an easy way to collect Box Tops for Education without losing them before the collection date at your child’s school! Right now, Walmart has a Bonus Box Tops offer on select General Mills® products so head over and do some shopping!
Given how underfunded most schools are, this is such a needed program for both our educators and our children.
I’m sure we all know someone with a child in school that the box tops can be given to. Just by purchasing these 2 specially marked General Mills® products we’re earning our school $1.00! All entries must be completed on the Rafflecopter widget below, please allow a moment for it to load.
Each quarter the winning class will get a surprise, like a movie day, pizza party, or ice cream sundae party. Schools can use Box Tops cash to buy whatever they need including books, sports or playground equipment, technology, craft supplies, ect. Collecting Box Tops opened the door to a great conversation about my son’s first week at his new school. My younger sister is an elementary school teacher, and I know she spent several hundreds of dollars out of pocket on her class last year.
That’s why I love the Box Tops for Education program that allows you to give back to your local schools by buying your favorite General Mills® products that your family uses every day. He still leaves them scattered on the counter once clipped, instead of the drawer, but I’m happy with the improvement, one step at a time. I’ve recruited my parents as well as an aunt who also save their Box Tops, and mail them to the kids every so often to bring to school. Remember to give them a reminder when its collection time in your school, they can simply mail them back to you.
Be sure look for the Bonus Box Tops at your local Walmart, and get saving because everyone loves a bonus! The more Box Top labels we save, the more money that General Mills® donates to their elementary school. At another school, where her friend teaches, the money goes straight to the teacher to purchase classroom supplies.
