I chose the University of Roehampton because the institution has proven itself as one that caters expertly to the needs of busy professionals who cannot leave their jobs and home countries to travel to the UK for the conventional programme.
I enrolled at the university because I had been looking for an opportunity to study for a MBA degree in an internationally-recognized University, without the hassle of leaving my job, business, family, and country to travel to the UK for about two to three years.
Fortunately, when I came across a colleague that was doing an online MSc programme at the same university, I decided to check it out.
I signed up for the University's Masters in Business Administration programme in September, 2013. The 21st century has ushered in game-changing technological advances that have transformed the way we learn, live, and work.
As educators, how can we prepare students to succeed and thrive in this rapidly evolving, technology-rich, global community? Based on the work of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills, the framework for 21st century learning described in this action tool is built on a foundation of academic subject knowledge that students apply through the essential skills of critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and innovation, communication, and collaboration. We need to better prepare students for jobs that have not been created, to use products that have not be developed yet, and to promote skills of creativity and innovation. They build upon and enhance the traditional core subjects taught and assessed in our schools today. I chose the MBA programme because I had become interested in business, prior to, and after having founded my own ICT consulting company in 2008. After running my checks on the suitability of Roehampton to my requirements, I made the decision and enrolled.

New technologies, global competition and communication, social networking, and the accelerated growth of knowledge have given rise to an increasingly interconnected world that calls for different learning opportunities and newly designed instruction.
This action tool defines the skills and knowledge that students need for the 21st century and provides tools that you can use with any content to help teach and reinforce those skills. Then choose from 45 ready-to-use classroom tools to help students learn and practice the 21st century skills in any content area. The goal is for students to think independently about content and seek answers to their own questions. BEERS is the executive director of the Mid-Iowa School Improvement Consortium, a collaboration of approximately 160 school districts in Iowa working together to develop tools and resources for improving teaching and learning. Frameworks for 21st Century Learning have identify the skills and its connection to current content that will better help our students meet these challenges. This weaves 21st Century Skills of information and computer technology literacy and global awareness into the traditional core subject of social science. After the recession years back, I became increasingly interested in ethical business leadership and realized that the recession and various business failures were as a result of a lack of sound business knowledge. Each tool includes step-by-step instructions, suggestions for integrating technology, and reflection questions that promote students' metacognition.
The tools and activities in this book can help you guide students through a variety of models and processes that allow them to make analytical thinking routine. Beers is also a member of the ASCD Faculty, working nationally and internationally with schools in the areas of literacy across the curriculum, 21st century skills, professional development planning, instructional coaching, curriculum planning, differentiated instruction, and assessment. The Partnership sees arts education as important to developing these competencies, and created this “arts map” to provide suggestions for the integration of all of the arts at different levels of K-12 schooling to help achieve specific 21st-century skills.  This map is interesting as a resource for classroom teachers at all levels and as a reflection of thinking of major business and educational corporations regarding the importance of the arts in the classroom. This has prompted my enrollment for the university’s Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme to invest in getting the requisite knowledge.
With these methods, you ensure that each new generation of learners is equipped for the world of their future—rather than the world of our past.
