In addition to Tulane's Alert Line and Emergency Notices website, the university has created means to contact Tulane students, faculty and staff in emergency situations. In the event of an emergency or impending threat, Tulane will send critical voice and text messages to our students at multiple telephone and e-mail addresses. To ensure that Tulane has accurate and current contact information in the Office of the Registrar records, students should update their information through Gibson Online or the Registrar's Office. Following an emergency, which would displace students from campus, the university will provide updated information on the Emergency Notices website.
In the event of an emergency or impending threat, Tulane will send critical voice and text messages to our employees at multiple telephone and e-mail addresses. NOTE: This information will be used only in an emergency to send official university communications and does not alter employees' university directory information as done through the PPI.
Following an emergency, which would displace employees from campus, the university will activate a call-in registry for employees as well as provide updated information on the Emergency Notices website. Please fill out this form to subscribe to notifications via the parents listserv about emergency situations that threaten the Tulane campus, such as a hurricane, a shooter or a bomb threat.
Dead bodies are rising from their graves in Montana, at least that’s what the Emergency Alert System of Great Falls claimed on television yesterday.
The ACT Government will be conducting a test of the telephone based emergency warning system, EMERGENCY ALERT on Wednesday 28 October 2015. The exercise will involve the ACT Emergency Services Agency issuing a test warning message in targeted geographical areas of the city to evaluate the effectiveness of the system. It will also provide important practise in operator use and use of internal standard operating procedures. The testing is schedule to occur between Midday and 3pm and will impact on parts of Acton, Turner and Black Mountain itself. As part of the test, people who have a landline telephone in the identified test areas will receive a recorded voice message. Emergency Alert issues warnings to landline telephones and mobile phones linked to registered service addresses (properties and houses) or mobile phones registered with mobile phone towers identified in a geographical area affected by an emergency.
Whether an emergency service agency decides to issue telephone warnings through Emergency Alert will depend on the nature of the incident. An Emergency Alert message may advise you to evacuate an area, stay inside your home or provide other instructions. Emergency Alert will be used to supplement other warnings provided through emergency personnel on the ground and through radio, internet, print and social media, television and the provision of information through Access Canberra. Emergency Alert is assigned the number of 0444 444 444 which will always be displayed in the message header or caller identification. To be able to receive Emergency Alert it is important that the registered service address of your landline or mobile phone is updated with your telephone carrier, otherwise you may not get Emergency Alerts. To ask a question, report an incident, make a complaint or provide feedback regarding Emergency Alert. I thought I best inform you of some information a client disclosed when attending a prescribing review with us on Tuesday evening, as after discussion with the CRI Clinical Coordinator it was felt that this is needs to be a drug alert.
Our concern is that this is something new that may be attractive to opiate users because of its strength.
We have added a page regarding the procurement of a new contract for Sexual Health Services on Tees. Stop Smoking Service for South Tees will launch a Nurse-lead Varenicline Supply service as of March 31st 2015. It's the time of year when more of us spend time outside.  And for generations, the only way to get an emergency warning outside was to hope you were within ear shot of a siren.

It's a dramatic extension of a national warning system that for decades has relied on radio and television to alert the public to life-threatening hazards.
Emergency Alerts are official messages from the government that come automatically to newer-model cell phones.  The jarring tone and distinct cadence of vibrations sets them apart from a regular text message. That's why FEMA and the FCC recently launched a public service campaign to spread the word about the new cell phone alerts. The National Weather Service is one of the select list of authorized government agencies that can send Wireless Emergency Alerts through FEMA, which sends the message to your cell phone carrier. Wireless Emergency Alerts can only be triggered by a select list of authorized government originators, like Wisconsin Emergency Management or the National Weather Service.
That hasn't been a problem in Southeastern Wisconsin, where the system has gone largely unused.
According to Cronce, they only issue wireless alerts for extreme weather events such as flash floods, blizzards, and tornadoes.  And we haven't had a single tornado in southeastern Wisconsin since the new system came online last summer.
In March, the National Weather Service office in Sullivan accidentally sent out a live tornado warning instead of a test. On many phones, the new alerts look like partially-transparent text over your phone's background. For many cell phone users, it was the first time they'd ever heard the new emergency tones. Just two months before that, the National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning for Southeastern Wisconsin.
And that's a concern for federal officials who fear users will be turned off by the emergency messages. The alerts do work even if your phone is in silent mode, something many phone owners have discovered the hard way when an alert was issued in the middle of the night. Desktop Alert have been deployed successfully in a wide variety of cases of which only few are showcased here. Alerts can deliver prompt trade signals to forex traders, they can be used to monitor web server outages, websites can use them to deliver their news and newsletters to their clients, banks can use them to deliver important information to the clients directly, individuals can use them to set personal reminders for important events.
Custom Application which can show simultaneous signals within a very short time interval was developed for client end. Server end Control Panel was customized as Forex Signal Control Panel and all the tools were provided therein to manage the subscribers and send signals to them using both Automatic and Manual modes.
API was also developed so that Forex Signals could be fed directly into the system thus delivering automatic alerts without human intervention.
Failsafe were also employed to make sure that Admins get notices whenever there is some failure at the signal level or the delivery level.
Further Integration was done in which an Outage Alert is also sent to the custom made script installed on monitored server so that the affected service can be restarted automatically even without the assistance of the webmaster. Server end Control Panel was customized to provide webmaster with wide variety of multimedia templates so as to make the creation of alert messages simpler.
Full Audit Trail was maintained to enable webmaster to see exactly how many users received the message, how many read it, how many deleted it etc.
Custom Application was developed for User's Desktop based on User's preferences and Language. Custom Control Panel was developed with many easy to use Personal Templates to create the Personal Messages with Timestamps. Custom Control Panel was developed to create the Coupon with Codes and Alerts with Timestamps. Custom Application was developed for each department and named as per the department name and also given a unique group code.

Custom Application was developed for Desktop which doesn't allow any Snoozing or Offline option. Custom Control Panel was developed so that emergency alert message is delivered with a Single click.
Pre-Designed templates were made available in Control panel to use during different types of emergencies and responses required.
Desktop and Mobile App were also made available in case Control Panel is out of reach at the time of emergency.
Several Failsafe mechanisms were implemented so Redundancy is there in case the main network goes down. If you are a student, staff or faculty member, be sure to visit our page about receiving emergency alerts to your desktop or laptop. For notices about those types of crimes, please subscribe to the Tulane Police crime alerts list.
Hackers apparently broke into the system of KRTV and its CW station to broadcast the prank that sounded both official and ominous.
These include including location based enhancements to EMERGENCY ALERT using mobile towers, which is likely to expand the reception beyond the target geographical area and increased reception given all carriers now provide this service. This is the collegea€™s official emergency communication tool that uses text messaging, phone notifications and email to share critical information. It really does not tell you a lot," said Tod Pritchard, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for Wisconsin Emergency Management. The carrier then sends the alert to cell towers in the affected area, which broadcast the message to all WEA-capable phones in that area.
But that warning was issued 24-hours in advance of the storm.  At 4 o'clock in the morning.
After all I got a web site from where I can actually get helpful facts concerning my study and knowledge. I really enjoyed reading it, you are a great author.I will be sure to bookmark your blog and may come back at some point.
According to The Great Falls Tribune (via MassLive), at least four local citizens called the police to see if it was true.
Also I don’t see the need for an alert to be like a siren as most people have their phone on them and respond to the basic alert noises of a text message or such. There has been no word on who the hackers were or how they did it, but you can watch the alert for yourself after the break. I worked a position where I was on-call at night responsible for evacuations and emergency situations and when my phone went off I swore it was the alarm setting on my device letting me know the fire sprinkler system had gone off and that I needed to evacuate a section of the building. Being inconvenienced by a sound that lasts less than ten seconds should be the last thing on the minds of people. The client used 0.3 grams of the drug himself and has gave the remaining Fentanyl to a friend. Our concern is that this is now circulating the Stockton area, and people may not be aware of its strength. When I looked on the internet, it was reported that there have been drug related deaths in America where Fentanyl was mixed with Heroin.
