my son, Shawn - and it's his hard work that went into the
front end (a single freebie page is given away so people can

to help him out. This is Shawn (and me):
When he
needs something, he never asks me to just hand it to
him. He doesn't slap up a "Go Fund Me." He wants
to work for it. Shawn's a very talented writer - honor
Advanced Placement student at a top college preparatory
school, so instead of him working harder and earning less at
a typical kid job, I suggested he put his talent and
knowledge about this niche to good use and create a product
to sell.
Why
Help Him with an Amazing Launch (Personal)
Before I
tell you about the product, I have to get blunt and raw
here. I'm going to tell you some things about my son that
give you insight into what kind of young man he is - and
it's not your typical story.
Many of
you know my background of a scary marriage. Shawn physically
saved myself and my daughter from a very traumatic event -
rescuing us as my door was being kicked down. He wrote about
this day in his college essay, prompting the review boards
to personally write him back about his courage and maturity.
He's been accepted to all five schools he applied to - but
only one really counts because of what he wants to
pursue.
Shawn
stepped up to be a father figure to his little sister and
the man of the house - fixing things that break, taking down
the trash, and mowing, not only our lawn - but our
elderly neighbors' lawn, too. Never complains - not once.
He
doesn't go out and party and drink and get into trouble. He
cares about how he will contribute to this world. He chose
to keep his saved money for college, instead of getting a
car - and he's one of only about 4 students who don't have a
car at this school, so I know it had to be hard for a
17-year old young man to make that tough choice.
He's
very much into science and founded an Astronomy club at his
school, working hard to buy three telescopes the club could
use when he hosts stargazing and moon viewing nights.
He wants
to pursue biology in college and stay close by "in case
y'all need me" he said. That
sums up his personality. There for everyone. Shawn has seen
me work hard to put him through his high school. But I took
on 100% of our marriage debt to get us free, so it doesn't
go far.
He has saved up $6,100. We
only have a short window of time to raise the rest, and I know this launch won't do that, but it will get
him one step closer. He can do more launches as he also
searches for scholarships.
How do you tell your kid to give up on their dream?
You don't. You tell them to work - and that's just what he
did - while everyone else was out having fun on Christmas
break ... so let me show you what he's accomplished that
will hopefully earn BOTH you and him some good money!
