Though it comes at an entry-level price, the F-20 delivers sound, features, and performance directly inherited from Roland’s high-end pianos. Offering quality sound and playing touch that far exceeds other instruments in its class, the F-20 delivers solid performance that will carry your child through many years of musical development. Roland’s free apps for Apple iOS devices offer a unique way to motivate your child’s interest in playing and practice.
With its onboard Rhythm feature, the F-20 lets your child experience music with a beautiful backing ensemble, so they can have fun and develop their timing skills at the same time.
Unlike acoustic pianos, which require regular tuning and maintenance, the digital F-20 never needs to be tuned, so your child can enjoy perfect piano sounds year round. For over 40 years Roland have been creating tool for the musician that are unsurpassed in quality, features and reliability. Luckily, iOS 8 allows developers to create third-party widgets including – you guessed it – weather widgets with current temperature and forecast. First up is Forecast+, an app that’s really only a widget, which was a very popular recommendation when I surveyed Twitter for an iOS 8 weather widget replacement. Forecast+ does have an app, but it’s used to toggle how and what the the widget displays. Yahoo Weather is another popular third-party weather app for many people, and its Today view widget closely resembles the design of its iPhone app with sparse text and simplistic icons. With it you get current temperature, the day’s high and low temperature, and a brief forecast ahead, but you also get images from Flickr thrown in. The NOAA Radar Pro app (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) is straight to the point and offers up a glance at the weather for the next few hours as well.
This next one isn’t primarily a weather app, but it included a quick weather widget as if it were one.
Its widget, though, included the current temperature and weather condition as well as the current wind speed. This weather widget is pretty straight forward is offers some additional details you may be interested in, but it’s value is mostly in its companion full-fledged weather app.
This widget won’t do anything for you unless you have a Netatmo Weather Station, but Weather Station users can use the widget with the corresponding app for viewing localized weather data captured by the device.
Weather Underground’s widget in Notification Center is an addition since first publishing yesterday.
For now, I’m keeping Forecast+, WeatherPro, and Raincast added to my Today view in Notification Center for quickly accessing relevant weather data at a glance, but each weather widget above is worth checking out to see which you prefer. If I’m traveling out of time, how will NOAA Radar Pro know what home time for which to show me the forecast?

Okay I just need Forecast+ to enable location based weather and it’ll actually be useful.
Hoping Intellicast or Wunderground include a widget, since those are my two favorite weather apps.
You should look out how much traffic these widgets use and consider not using them altogether.
You can easily switch between different icon styles and it comes with two weather forecast services to chhose from. Delivering Roland’s acclaimed piano technologies at a breakthrough price, this compact and attractive instrument offers best-in-class performance that provides a solid foundation for learning the instrument the right way.
With its compact size and built-in stereo speaker system, the instrument fits nicely into any home environment and is easy to move from room to room. The Ivory Feel-G Keyboard with Escapement inherits the functions, appearance, and texture of keyboards found in our flagship instruments, providing an authentic grand piano touch for building fundamental playing techniques quickly and efficiently.
This amazing piano automatically accompanies their playing, intelligently following with chord backing and rhythms.
It also includes a wide range of useful onboard features for practicing and fun, such as a metronome, a recorder for capturing performances, and a Twin Piano mode that splits the keyboard so two people can play side by side in the same octave ranges. The other apps listed here are full-fledged weather apps with available widgets while Forecast+ is more of a weather utility. For example, you can set your current location or another location for weather tracking and toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit depending on your preference. It’s widget displays the current temperature and a text summary of the weather conditions. These photos are usually from around your location if any are available and can be very nice images, but for a Notification Center widget, I found they add too much weight to something intended to be quick if that makes any sense. With it you get the current temperature and weather condition as well as the high and low of the day. My Alarm Clock is an alternative to the default Clock app with support for interactive notifications and a variety of other clock features. I discovered it while researching weather widget replacements on the App Store, but I think I’ll keep it around for now. Its rich, authentic tone inspires young players to explore and develop their musical expression, while the fine weighted keyboard action—derived from Roland’s flagship models—provides a true acoustic grand touch that’s essential for proper piano education. The stylish wood cabinet comes in your choice of Contemporary Black or Simulated Dark Walnut finishes, so you can select the perfect color to compliment your living space.
The famous SuperNATURAL Piano sound engine—also derived from Roland’s top-line models—allows students to develop their skills with the rich tone and expressiveness of a world-class acoustic grand.

The Piano Partner app for iPad includes Flash Card, an interactive music program that kids will love, plus an intuitive graphical interface for selecting tones, songs, and rhythms in the F-20.
32 different accompaniment styles cover a variety of musical genres, and it’s simple and intuitive to select rhythms from the F-20’s panel or the Piano Partner app.
You can easily adjust the piano’s volume to suit the room, or use headphones for private practice without disturbing others.
Forecast+ also offers up four different ways of viewing the widget as you can toggle between compact and expanded as well as choosing to always show the 5-day forecast or not. Another benefit of NOAA Radar Pro is the app allows you to control the location used by the widget.
Instead, Raincast shows you just that, the precipitation forecast over a 6-day period using a visually attractive bar graph and percentages. One is a very attractive graph with the date, time updated, temperature, chance of rain, and more. As a digital instrument, the F-20 presents many advantages over traditional acoustic pianos to encourage learning and make playing fun, including recording and metronome functions, onboard rhythm accompaniment, and a wide selection of sounds beyond the piano. Flash Card develops listening and reading skills in a fun way by challenging your child to identify notes that are shown on the iPad’s display and sounded from the piano, with awards given after five challenges.
The app also allows young students to play the fundamental elements of the F-20’s accompaniment (drums and bass or drums only) without the other backing instruments, a great feature for daily piano practice.
Additionally, convenient output jacks give you the ability to connect the piano to an external sound system for broader coverage at parties and family gatherings at home. This means if you’re traveling out of town but want to keep an eye on your weather back home, NOAA Radar Pro has you covered.
The other is a weather map showing the radar in your area with a quick link to jump into the Weather Underground app. Available from the Apple App Store, these powerful apps make it easy to use today’s mobile technology to enhance your child’s piano development. The F-20 also includes electric piano, harpsichord, organ, guitar, strings, and even synthesizer sounds, allowing students to explore a world of instruments beyond the piano.
