Edward was graduated from South Bend Washington High School, Indiana University, and the Indiana University School of Dentistry, Class of 1957. Mickey was a man of many interests with an extraordinary level of energy and zest for life.

He received his baccalaureate degree from Virginia State College , graduating  summa cum laude, and in 2007 received from that university, an honorary doctorate degree. He served for a number of years as a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, appointed by the United States Senate. He  served as professor of history at Cabrini University and the Community College of Bucks County.
I always enjoyed his lectures about art and his sense of humor during each visit to his dentist office.

We will always remember Mickey for his unique sense of humor and also for the wonderful person he was.

Robinson headed the Philadelphia School District Committee on African and African American studies for four years, and co-authored the guidebook, "The World of Africans and Afro-Americans" and coauthored the seminal book “Journey of the Songhai People,” which was published in 1970, is still popular today and is a part of the curriculum of several schools. Robinson, in 2004, was awarded a contract with the Philadelphia Public School District to infuse African studies within the current social studies, science, and mathematics curricula from kindergarten to 8th grade for the 180,000 pupils’ school district and succeeded in making the teaching of African history mandatory for all students.
Robinson was influential in the founding of the D’Zert Club, an African American youth organization, by entertainment attorney Helen Salahuddin and husband Ali Salahuddin.
This year is the 12th anniversary of the trips and 227 teens and adults left on July 31 for Egypt. Robinson is a phenomenon, a unique individual whose passion has driven him to dedicate most of his 91 years to educate and reprogram African Americans in a way that he believes will change the perception of all Americans toward the ancestral heritage of African Americans in a way that is unprecedented in modern times.
He also  received a juris doctorate degree from Temple University School of Law, and practiced corporate law.
Robinson retired from the Provident Home Life Insurance Company, as its president, ending his thirty-five-year tenure of that multi-million dollar corporation.
Young and his wife Debbie have been married for 20 years and have four sons, they also became proud grandparents in February of 2012.
Army during World War II, and, after beginning his practice as a dentist in South Bend, also served our country in the U.S Naval Reserve as a Commander. He has created an art gallery consisting of  “The 100 Most Notable Africans and African Americans” together with a four-hundred-word biography of each. Robinson already has successfully proved the efficacy of African Genesis through experimental programs in the Philadelphia School System and in the community. He has produced four motion picture scripts, all of which are dramatic stories based in the ancient Songhai Empire subliminally depicting the beauty, grandeur and sophistication of the ancestral home of African Americans.

He also retired as a vice president of the two hundred-and-fifty-million-dollar North Carolina Mutual  Insurance Company. He was an active board member of the South Bend Lions Club, especially with their corneal transplant donation program and had spearheaded the effort to fluoridate the water in St. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten!  He fought a long and difficult battle to survive six years after initially being given a 72-hour projection of survival. He was very well liked and respected by his fellow colleagues. Our deepest sympathy to you on your loss. It is the only school district in America, to our knowledge, that has mandatory African AND African American history taught. They are the parents of two living children, grandparents of nine, the great-grandparents of eight and they have three great-great grandchildren. Young is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a member of the Baptist Center for Joint Replacement team at Baptist Beaches. Young enjoys most outdoor activities including boating, fishing, hunting, camping water and snow skiing. He is currently vice Chairman of The Department Of surgery and Section Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Baptist Beaches Medical Center.
Robinson’s efforts were instrumental in crafting the 2005 Philadelphia School District’s curriculum policy making it mandatory for Philadelphia public school students to take an African American history course in order to graduate from high school.
