Because this represents the bulk of what people consume, and these health issues are rampant in our society, of course this makes sense. My reply was that if you make health your number one priority, along with essential bills you have to pay regularly like your mortgage and car payments, you will find a way to afford the good quality food that will keep you out of the hospital or doctor’s office in the first place. I also pointed out that in most communities of any reasonable size (and even many smaller ones), local meats and dairy products are available for less money and then you are supporting your local economy – what better way to contribute to your environment, your health, and your own backyard!
