This new study of the Stonehenge area now attempts to analyze the entire layout of Stonehenge, which includes the enigmatic Durrington Wall Earthwork found to the northeast of Stonehenge.
The previous study of the various concentric circles found in Stonehenge (15) strongly argues that the various earthen, wood-post, and stone rings at Stonehenge were produced to mark the relative ratio of earth to the moon, and that Stonehenge is itself only one very small part of a much, much larger structure.
Surrounding and close to Stonehenge are a series of barrows, two linear earthworks known as the Greater and Lesser Cursus, and a large circular earthwork located to the northeast of Stonehenge known as Durrington Walls.
Analyzing the layout of Stonehenge with respect to the closest barrow located just to the east of Stonehenge produces similar results to those already obtained from an analysis of Pictish stone artwork (2-14).
First the barrow to the east side of Stonehenge appears to be built to mimic the relative size of the moon, if Stonehenge is considered here to represent earth.
Based on this very preliminary analysis a more detailed study was then undertaken of the LIDAR data produce by English Heritage, where the width of the stones making the Sarsen Stone Circle is assumed to represent the difference between lunar apogee and perigee.
Here the data is found to compare well with the theory established in the prior study of Stonehenge that the various circles at Stonehenge are drawn to represent lunar astronomical data (15). Because the earlier study of the Invereen Pictish stone (2) appears to plausibly indicate that anciently the people of Britain knew the distance between the moon and earth – which is a value equal to circa 30 earth diameters, a study was next undertaken to see what structures occur in the Stonehenge Heritage Park that occur circa 30 Stonehenge diameters from Stonehenge. More notably the Durrington Walls Earthwork structure, to the northeast of Stonehenge, is approximately 30 Stonehenge Earthwork diameters distant from Stonehenge, with each diameter being equivalent to the average dimension of the Stonehenge earthwork, which is circa 100 meters wide.


Furthermore, the angular offset from Stonehenge to Durrington Walls is circa 30 degrees replicating astronomical data that the moon is on average 30 earth diameters from earth.
To test further the idea that the Durrington Walls Earthwork represents earth, a preliminary study was undertaken using Ordnance Survey maps of the region to see what structures occur circa 28 to 32 times the diameter of Durrington Walls Earthworks – these specific distances represent the distance to the moon at lunar apogee and perigee.
As can be seen from this preliminary study the reference 13.66 degree half-sideral month alignment appears to links Yarnbury earthworks to Durrington Walls. Also producing a positive alignment is the 11 degree alignment, which aligns with Woodhenge, and again is a specific value replicated in many of the Single Line geoglyphs of the Sahara Desert (1). At this point in the analysis of the Greater Stonehenge region there are several questions remaining.

This 13.66 degree value is the same value drawn by the causeways in front of the Giza great pyramids, and is the same angle drawn by many of the Single Line Geoglyphs recently discovered in the Sahara Desert (1). However the data extracted from the layout of the Greater Stonehenge Region is found here to be entirely consistent with data extracted from much younger Pictish Stones, and older archaeological sites found around the world (1).
