Initially, the central theme of most urban novels centered on characters like pimps, killers, or drug dealers set to a city backdrop.  Most of the stories explored socio-economic realities like baby mama drama,  prison life and violence, rife with profanity and sex.
Urban fiction is a popular and thriving genre with a fan base that has an insatiable appetite for new talent and K.C. Yolanda:  Do you believe urban fiction can become more accepted by the mainstream audience?  How do you plan to grow as a writer in this genre? An email says that Hillary Clinton — then Hillary Rodham — was fired for lying and being unethical when she was a 27-year-old working on the Watergate investigation.
Calabrese’s information came from Democrat Jerry Zeifman, a counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Clinton on the Watergate investigation. The problem is that Hillary Clinton remained on the Watergate Committee until Richard Nixon resigned and the Committee was shut down. The now-retired general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary when she worked on the Watergate investigation, says Hillary’s history of lies and unethical behavior goes back farther … and goes much deeper … than anyone realizes. Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. The actions of Hillary and her cohorts went directly against the judgment of top Democrats, up to and including then-House Majority Leader Tip O’Neill, that Nixon clearly had the right to counsel.
The brief involved precedent for representation by counsel during an impeachment proceeding.
As Hillary Clinton came under increasing scrutiny for her story about facing sniper fire in Bosnia, one question that arose was whether she has engaged in a pattern of lying. The now-retired general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary when she worked on the Watergate investigation, says Hillary’s history of lies and unethical behavior goes back farther – and goes much deeper – than anyone realizes. The brief was so fraudulent and ridiculous, Zeifman believes Hillary would have been disbarred if she had submitted it to a judge. Zeifman says that if Hillary, Marshall, Nussbaum and Doar had succeeded, members of the House Judiciary Committee would have also been denied the right to cross-examine witnesses, and denied the opportunity to even participate in the drafting of articles of impeachment against Nixon. Of course, Nixon’s resignation rendered the entire issue moot, ending Hillary’s career on the Judiciary Committee staff in a most undistinguished manner. But they show that the pattern of lies, deceit, fabrications and unethical behavior was established long ago – long before the Bosnia lie, and indeed, even before cattle futures, Travelgate and Whitewater – for the woman who is still asking us to make her president of the United States. Future Imperfect is an exciting technology-driven adventure featuring teenage geniuses, corporate espionage, and mysterious messages.
The story will appeal to all young readers for whom technology plays such a large role in their lives, whether it’s cell phones, laptops, tablets, gaming, or the online world, but it’s also a very compelling adventure story, with lots of cliffhangers, twists, and turns. And now the final entry in my series on Storybundle's excellent ebook bundle of Aurora Award winners and finalists. Setting modesty aside (tough to do for a Canadian), if you look at the list of Aurora Award winners and finalists over the years, you'll see my name a total of nineteen times, including three wins. It contains sixteen stories of fantasy and science fiction that take you from love in fourteenth-century Japan to humanity’s last stand, from virtual reality to the end of reality, from alien drug addictions to a dinner where a man loses everything. I first met Susan when she edited my short story "The Walker of the Shifting Borderland" for the fine Canadian speculative fiction magazine, On Spec.
I continue my ten-part series on the excellent Aurora Award ebook bundle available now for a limited time at Storybundle.

Blaze is preparing herself to meet the need.  As her last name implies, she is already stoking the flames to her already growing urban lit empire. My most recent employers were Transamerica Life and Protection as a Licensed Insurance Agent. I planned my exit by calculating the cost of transitioning from a blog to an online magazine. It’s a complete brand that provides information on every aspect of the publishing industry. I do not view anyone as my competition because I’m the directory that sends authors and readers to everyone else. Authors can utilize many marketing possibilities that step outside of the realm of traditional marketing strategies.
However, I’m currently working on three titles that are soon to be released shortly as well.
Ultimately I allow my characters to speak to me, and when they do, I’m there to jot it all down.
I love the realness and rawness that comes from urban fiction, but I believe it should remain between the covers.
Create your characters and let them tell their story and do not apologize for making them who they are. The beauty of having a magazine site is that most of my content is timeless so it can hold me over. They also tune into my radio show with my co-host Santiago and realize we are giving them information they can use. My idea to start a publishing company came from my desire to present the best titles from the best writers who could not get published traditionally. Though I enjoyed my time with True Glory, and Shameek Speight is an incredible publisher and person, I will be producing my future novels under my label. Her contribution to the genre has paved the way for many writers to create more mainstream titles. Hillary Clinton did not work directly for Jerry Zeifman, and so he had no authority to fire her. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. She couldn’t do it by herself, but Zeifman said she was one of several individuals … including Marshall, special counsel John Doar and senior associate special counsel (and future Clinton White House Counsel) Bernard Nussbaum … who engaged in a seemingly implausible scheme to deny Richard Nixon the right to counsel during the investigation. Zeifman says that Hillary, along with Marshall, Nussbaum and Doar, was determined to gain enough votes on the Judiciary Committee to change House rules and deny counsel to Nixon. When Hillary endeavored to write a legal brief arguing there is no right to representation by counsel during an impeachment proceeding, Zeifman says, he told Hillary about the case of Supreme Court Justice William O. Zeifman says he told Hillary that all the documents establishing this fact were in the Judiciary Committee’s public files. Hillary then proceeded to write a legal brief arguing there was no precedent for the right to representation by counsel during an impeachment proceeding … as if the Douglas case had never occurred. Zeifman says he was urged by top committee members to keep a diary of everything that was happening. Campbell Award, Canada's juried Sunburst Award, the CBC Bookies award, and France's juried Prix Masterton and Prix Bob Morane. And you get to name your own price, plus you can donate 10% of your purchase to the wonderful charity, First Book, and help transform the lives of children. It's a bundle that is "guaranteed to make you feel uncomfortable, create that sense of ‘something-isn’t-right-here’ or just plain scare you. Pay more than $12 and you’ll get six additional books, including "a short story anthology featuring Kelley Armstrong, James Alan Gardner and others" (one of the "others" is me.
The bundle also reflects the long history of the Auroras, with titles spanning over twenty years of Canadian speculative fiction. Simon’s books include The Alchemist's Portrait , The Sorcerer's Letterbox, The Clone Conspiracy, The Emerald Curse, The Heretic's Tomb, The Doomsday Mask, The Time Camera, The Sphere of Septimus, Flashback, and the recently published Future Imperfect. In the novel, we’re introduced to Andrew Mitchell, who was one of the leading experts in highly advanced technology in Silicon Valley, until he vanished following a car accident, which also injured his son, Alex. There might even be a couple of sequels, but we’ll wait and see what the future holds, I guess.
Chimerascope was a finalist for the Aurora Award, the juried Sunburst Award, and the CBC Bookies Award. Susan's excellent suggestions and editing played a major role in that story winning the Aurora in 2013. Ten ebooks, all winners of or finalists for Canada's Aurora Award for the best speculative fiction, and available at the price of a single book. When her mother realizes that Nola has the gift of Othersight and can foretell the future, she sells her to a brothel seer, who teaches the girl to harness her gift.

My competitive nature pressed me to learn how to type faster than anyone else, which helps me today. I want to be the brand that not only comes out with hot titles but information and resources for every author. Urban fiction is a considerable force within the publishing industry, and many writers are creating new rules and seeing large sales numbers as a result. When they are quiet, I create new characters and stories and start the process all over again. You should consider how far you would like your book to go before you title it with a name that would never get the light of day on a retailer’s bookshelf. It follows the life of the children from Your Husband My Man and serves as a way to answer questions that were not answered in [the previous series].
Ap Looking To Sign New Talent: Black Eyed Pea launches worldwide search for talent to fill new record label.
And in order to pull this off, Zeifman says Hillary wrote a fraudulent legal brief, and confiscated public documents to hide her deception. I'm an award-winning Canadian author of fantasy, SF, horror, supernatural, and the ever popular "undefinable", with over a hundred story sales in thirty-two countries and twenty-six languages around the world. I've been an Aurora finalist nineteen times and have several honourable mentions in The Year's Best Fantasy & Horror. The antho in question is the excellent Mark Leslie-edited Canadian horror anthology, Campus Frights, which includes my Springsteen-titled story "Radio Nowhere.").
When a mysterious app later appears on Alex’s phone, he and his friend Stephanie embark on a terrifying journey involving secret technology, corporate espionage, kidnapping, and murder in a desperate bid to save the future from the sinister Veronica Castlewood. Chimerascope also contains one of my Aurora Award winning short stories, "Scream Angel," along with seven other Aurora Award finalist stories and a Best New Horror selection.
For me, it's fully developed characters that I can care about and prose that pulls you in and doesn't let you go. Yet, she still manages to be a well-rounded individual who is the real deal—a strong female who hustles with the best of them—the best example of what we all should aspire to,” lauds McBeth. I come from a sales background that also plays a part in my writing because as my favorite motto goes “I write because I love it, I publish because I want to be paid for it.” So I use my sales background to promote my work. I came up with Urban Fiction News Magazine because I couldn’t find the information I needed to publish a competitive book in today’s urban fiction market. I just so happen to have great fans that love what I write and push me to get them the next book. Producing that many books in a year can be a bit time consuming, and I like making sure I’m giving my very best.
The drama continues, the plot thickens and when [readers will be taken on many twists and turns]. When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation … one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman’s 17-year career. Hunt, Zeifman said, had the goods on nefarious activities in the Kennedy Administration that would have made Watergate look like a day at the beach… including Kennedy’s purported complicity in the attempted assassination of Fidel Castro. Certainly, he could not have known in 1974 that diary entries about a young lawyer named Hillary Rodham would be of interest to anyone 34 years later. Plus "a collection from an Aurora winner author" (uh, that would be me again) and best-selling writer, Dean Wesley Smith. I'm delighted to be able to include this wonderful example of Susan's writing, the first book in her Tattooed Witch fantasy trilogy set during the Spanish Inquisition and infused with Romany culture of the time. Caitlin Sweet's writing provides both, so when I was making up this bundle, I leapt at the chance to include one of Caitlin's books.
I usually have banners created with my books and where it’s available and have them displayed in groups. However, I want to continue providing my reader with good stories, outrageous plot twists and enough back stories on the characters they feel like they can reach out and touch them in reality. And, I'll add, if you want more Canadian content, the wonderful Toronto writer, Rebecca Senese, also has a book in the bundle, A Reluctance of Blood.
Not only an Aurora Finalist for best novel in 2012, The Pattern Scars also won the CBC Bookies Award in 2012 for Speculative Fiction. When a handsome, young Otherseer from the castle promises to teach her, she eagerly embraces the prospects of luxury beyond what she can imagine and safety from a killer who stalks girls by night. Both platforms provide news, reviews, and resources on various topics like publishing, marketing, and promoting of fictional works. Little does she know that he will soon draw her into a web of murder, treachery, and obsessive desire that will threaten the people and land she holds dear, and that she will soon learn the harshest of lessons: that being able to predict the future has nothing to do with being able to prevent it.
