I want you to save money. Why buy a keyboard with feature after feature that you have no use for? Every time Yamaha comes out with a new keyboard, I spend weeks and months learning all about it. I've been writing keyboard reviews for over ten years now and have earned a reputation as a reliable reviewer. Check out How To Read Music Fast: A 4-Step Beginner's Guide To Reading Music Quickly And Easily.
I often get asked what the point of the Bass Clef is because its existence just seems to make life harder for no good reason!!
Well, the reason we have the Bass Clef is simple – to make music easier to read by avoiding the use of too many ledger lines. However, Middle C in the Bass Clef goes on a ledger line above the stave so there are loads of notes we can write below Middle C without having to use any ledger lines. If you can learn how to read Treble and Bass Clef then you will make a huge leap forward as a musician. As can be seen above, on the piano keyboard the black notes are grouped together in groups of two and three. A historical lookOn today's piano keyboard, the white notes are longer and larger, while the black notes (sharps and flats) are shorter and smaller.
TodayToday's digital pianos are patterned after acoustic pianos and try to replicate their touch and feel.In addition to acoustic pianos, there are many brands of musical keyboards such as Yamaha, Roland, and Korg. To start the application — Windows users: simply double-click the Musiah "M" icon (pictured opposite) on your desktop.
A student can be the account owner (usually an adult or parent) or any member of the account owner's immediate family living at the same address as the account owner. This video shows how to connect a MIDI keyboard to your computer so you can begin your online piano lessons with Musiah.

You don't have to painstakingly scour the Internet to find out whether or not a keyboard is right for you. I visit forums, blogs and websites, watch videos, buy magazines, and read review after review from actual customers.
I'm thankful for all the visitors who send me positive feedback and who keep returning to this site over and over again since it was launched in 2003.
If we were to use a Treble Clef (remember, Middle C in the Treble Clef goes on a ledger line below the stave as shown below) then we would have to use loads of ledger lines – this would make the music really difficult to read.
But on many keyboard instruments dating from before the nineteenth century, the colors of the keys were reversed. Wireless mice, even after calibration, are prone to latency and are therefore not recommended. Within the first session [with Musiah], she was hooked, getting excited when she passed her first "audition". Five months in the making, this significant update features (among many other things) a new scrolling Single Stave View mode which makes the notes much larger and therefor easier to read than the default Full Page View (FPV) especially on small screens. I want to make it as easy as possible for you to find a keyboard with just the right features.
I'm also a Yamaha customer and keyboard owner (who plays both solo and with a band) and have owned a number of Yamaha keyboards over the years.
If the features of a particular keyboard are below standard, or if it's simply a waste of money, I say so. They include beginner to advanced portable keyboards, synthesizers, workstations and digital pianos. You can get quick and easy access to my research and experience, right here! Look at the diagram above – this shows what is often referred to as the Grand Staff (the combination of Treble Clef and Bass Clef).
These instruments include the harpsichord, clavichord, organ, electric piano, digital piano, synthesizer, electronic keyboard, celesta, melodica, glasschord, dulcitone, accordion, and carillon.

Darker colored keys were used for the white notes while black keys were used for the white ones. Musiah made it a fun way of learning, to the point of being asked at every waking moment if she could do Musiah. I read all the pros and cons about the specific keyboard and get a general idea of whether it is good or crappy. But that's not all. By learning Treble and Bass Clef you can see the huge range of notes that you will be able to read.
Electric and electronic instruments with this feature included Vox's electronic organs of the 1960s, Roland's digital harpsichords, Hohner's Clavinet L, and one version of Korg's Poly-800 synthesizer.Acoustic pianos come with 88 weighted keys. Also, because the lessons are "tutored", there is no cat screeches of wrong notes, or boring repetitive "c", "c", "c" as my parents endured :) Now she has the confidence, she wants to continue learning keyboard.
Well on a piano there are 8 "C notes"; the one in the middle of the piano is known as middle c. Keys are heavier in the lower registers of the piano keyboard and lighter in the higher registers. They do not have to be tuned, they are portable, they are cheaper, they can be used with headphones (to avoid disturbance), they are computer compatible, and they have a wide variety of sounds (unlike pianos which only have one).
Between B and C, and E and F, there are no black notes and therefore the interval between them are also semitones. To further clarify my point, C-sharp is one semitone higher than C, C is one semitone lower than C-sharp, D is one tone higher than C, and so on.As you may have noticed above, all the black keys on a piano have two different names. So C-sharp is also known as D-flat, D-sharp is also known as E-flat, F-sharp is also known as G-flat, G-sharp is also known as A-flat, and A-sharp is also known as B-flat.
