I am a professional piano teacher with bachelor degrees in classical piano and jazz performance. These fun animal design metronomes are particularly suitable for children while adults love them too! Eamon is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in Dublin and has been teaching music full time in Kilkenny for the last two decades. Colette graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2001 with degrees in electronic and electrical engineering and maths. Dublin born Olwen Sheil studied cello at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and continued in Scotland with the renowned cellist Joan Dickson. He studied at the Waterford Institute of technology where he obtained a Diploma in Advanced Music Studies, an LTCL Performance Diploma on French Horn and a BA MUS. Liam has worked extensively with youth bands and wind ensembles in Ireland and was Music Director of the Barrack Street Concert Band Waterford, Carlow Choral Society, Mayfield Brass Band, Dungarvan Brass Band, Athlone and Fermoy musical Societies as well conducting the Ruckert Orchestra and the Cork Symphony Orchestra. While in Darwin he worked at Darwin University teaching at a youth orchestral music programme.
Since settling back in Ireland in 2008 Liam now teaches Brass and Theory at the Instrumental Music Programme in St. Mark Fitzgerald is a conductor, trumpet player and music educator specialising in brass teaching and hails from Waterford City. Mark is currently the principle conductor of the Barrack Street Concert Band, Waterford and is also heavily involved in their youth development programme. Lisa teaches a variety of styles from classical to popular music and also has a keen interest in music performance. As a pianist Margaret began her studies in DIT conservatory of music and drama with Mary Ellison, Elizabeth Costello, and later privately with Mabel Swainson.  She was a prize winner in Feis Ceoil and other ‘Feiseanna’ around the country. Margaret resigned from her position in Kilkenny School of Music, where she taught piano, flute, pre- instrument classes and choir for the last number of years, and is now a free lance musician who enjoys both teaching and performing. Margaret has studied singing with Kathleen Tynan and has sung in many choirs in both Ireland and the UK. Many productions and Concert performances of the Kilkenny Musical Society over the last number of years have been directed by Margaret. Since graduating she has established a successful teaching career in Cork and surrounding areas, teaching Violin, Music Theory, Piano, and Early Childhood Music.
Kilkenny based Aisling joined the teaching staff of St Canice’s National School in 2007, where she currently teaches 5th Class. Danny is a graduate of the City of Leeds College Of Music (England ) where he studied Saxophone & Flute gaining a 1st Class Honours Degree in Jazz Studies (Major Performance) and was also awarded the Spud Murphy Prize for Saxophone on graduation. Coming from Dorset in the southwest of England, Danny has been living in Ireland since 2002, currently living in Tramore, Co.
Jeremy Hickey is a multiinstrumentalist hailing from Kilkenny City who has gained the reputation as one of Europe’s leading drummers and percussionists .
Jeremy commenced training under the tuition of Dan Breen at The Royal Irish Academy Of Music , Dublin in 1999 and for the last 15 years has been working as both a tutor and a session musician. Hickey is a tutor with The Irish Drum Academy in Dublin , a certified Samba Drums instructor with The Kilkenny Education Centre and has recently completed a successful summer course in The Ossory Youth Centre combining music production and performance. Charity work over the years includes projects with Headstrong mental health and Dogs in Distress.

I am 17 years old and i am in 5th in school, but i am aiming for music education in trinity, and need to give lessons as a project. Always a musician, Colette studied piano and violin throughout her school years and was a member of many choirs, the school orchestra and Kilkenny Youth Orchestra. Now living in Co Wexford, Olwen is principal cellist with the Wexford Sinfonia and has a busy teaching schedule in Enniscorthy and Kilkenny. She is a member of the early music duo Tonos who performed in The John Field Room, NCH and The National Gallery, Dublin. His progression was rapid, culminating in his appointment as Principal Solo Cornet, a position he held until leaving school in 1987. Margaret works regularly as an accompanist and rehearsal pianist and has most recently performed in Prague and National Concert Hall, Dublin.
She now teaches music through singing and incorporates it into the primary school curriculum. She has performed throughout Ireland and Switzerland with numerous orchestras, including the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, the Young Irish Chamber Orchestra in Cork, Cork Symphony Orchestra, and Cork School of Music Symphony Orchestra. Katie has a keen interest in Chamber Music and enjoys the benefit this brings to students and parents.

Eamon leads our Jazz groups in their performances in the annual Lionheart Christmas Concert in St Canice’s Cathedral and the Cream of Kilkenny Cat Jazz Spectacular at the Watergate Theatre, which runs twice a year. She was selected to perform in the Johann Sebastian Bach International Music Competition in Leipzig, July 2008.
She also took over the role of administrator and was responsible for many organisational aspects of the programme. Patrick’s College Choir in the Cork International Choral Festival with great success in May 2008. She was a member of and a soloist with The National Chamber Choir of Ireland for over two years. Over the years Margaret has conducted all the school orchestras with great success at Feis Ceoil and is currently the director of the B Orchestra.
