Academic Impact Statement
Whereas SCSU exists for the
primary purpose of furthering academic excellence;
And whereas all
administrative decisions should be driven first and foremost by the goal of
academic excellence;
Be It Resolved that,
All decisions made by the administration must be preceded by an Academic Impact Statement. The Academic Impact statement shall include, but not be limited to, (a statement of the decision’s impact on) the role and academic life of faculty, teaching, student learning and life, research, space and other resource utilization.
Be It Further Resolved that,
That all Academic Impact Statements will be submitted to
the office of the Academic Vice President and the President of the Faculty
Senate.
Be It Further Resolved that,
The details of the implementation of the Academic Impact
Statement will be worked out jointly by the Faculty Senate and the
Administration.
