The average intake of calorie should be 2000 per day and it may vary depend upon the age, sex, weight, height and physical activities.


My boyfriend says you cannot lose fat by eating carbs, but if its all about total number of calories can’t a person still lose weight by counting those alone? I’m of the belief that you can’t count calories forever and that it’s really a crude way to lose weight.

If you’re looking to burn fat, you want to eat carbs that are very low on the GI scale to keep insulin production low and stable. I eat broccoli, squash, anything green and exotic vegetables at every meal, but my sugar intake is super low and all the carbs I eat are loaded with fiber, which further slows digestion and keeps my energy level consistent. I’ve found that for me I have to limit starchy carbs like potatoes and rice as they bloat me.
We are an obese nation from eating highly refined, highly processed carbohydrates along with huge amounts of fat and too many calories in general.
