While the girl may want to lose weight on the scale, it’s likely she is more concerned with slimming down, toning up and decreasing size.
Before I get into the results from my first body fat percentage measurement, I must say a little about our workout because it was definitely a first for me. The first station wasn’t anything special with the four workouts being traditional pushups, burpees, spiderman pushups, and repeating burpees again. Today as I write this my shoulders and back really feel as though they got a thorough workout.
This was the first time in my life I had ever had these measurements taken and I was kind of disappointed in my results. Nevertheless, finding out this information has provided me with additional fuel for my weight loss motivation. Today during my lunch I took a moment to do a little research and find out if there was a scale that lists the various ranges for both men and women in regards to body fat percentage.

My guess is that the guy I mentioned above is not trying to keep his heart and lungs deconditioned, but is trying to keep his lean muscular structure. Losing weight does not necessarily mean losing fat, but both are considerably affected by your nutrition (the specifics of that should be in a whole other blog post).
The picture at the top of this post shows the second exercise we did, both arms lifting the ropes at the same time. Weight loss is correlated to a calorie deficit (the difference between how many calories you take in versus the amount of calories you use up or expend.) If the guy is weight lifting and doing moderate cardio, he would just need to make sure he is getting the right amount of nutrient dense calories to fuel his muscles for rebuild and repair and fuel his cardio efforts so that the energy he uses is not coming from protein in his muscles. He can build muscle, shed fat to become lean AND reap the benefits of cardiovascular exercise for overall health and wellness.
