I was overwhelmed by what I saw on the scale and realized I needed to do something about it.


At the end of July, I met with a trainer, who weighed me in at 259.3 pounds with my body fat over 50%. In addition, I added Espresso-flavored Dynamic Greens and protein powder.The first couple of weeks were grueling! I was able to manage my busy life with all that it entails having eight children.Week five posed another dilemma.
Getting my work outs done became more of a challenge because my older children had gone back to school and were not available to help with the younger ones.
I got a lot of looks when I rolled in with my ten month old twins in a double stroller, my one year old sitting on top, and my three year old holding the door open for all of us!During week five, I added swimming laps, the elliptical and weights to my routine. I really don’t like doing weights, so I needed to reconnect with Kari Wolf, a personal trainer and join her weight-training group.
The last 90 days have helped me understand the importance of taking time for myself, so I can be a better Mom and Wife. To Kari, Natalie and Rachel (my personal trainers), for their support, advice and encouragement they provided when I really needed it.
And lastly, a BIG THANKS to Mom, Lesly, Jon and my two oldest children, Danielle and Malachi, for all your extra help and tremendous support during the challenge.
