Diabetic Diet is designed to control the levels of glucose(sugar) in the blood of the people who are suffering from Diabetes.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that about 180 million people worldwide have diabetes, and projects that number to double by 2030.
The diabetic diet is a healthy diet designed to help people with diabetes and prediabetes to control their blood glucose levels. Artificial sweeteners and diet drinks allow people with diabetes to enjoy sweet treats while still limiting sugar.
The diabetic diet provides a framework in which people with diabetes mellitus can choose foods and time the amount and consumption of those foods in a way that helps them maintain a healthy blood glucose level.
North India includes the state of Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kashmir and Delhi. Fruit & Vegetables, which provide our bodies with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fibre and water. How Much Should we Eat? A portion of fruit is a handful, around 80g (40g of dried fruit though). Starchy Carbs, such as granary bread, basmati rice, porridge oats and pasta provide our bodies with energy, some protein, B vitamins, minerals and fibre.
Meat, Fish & Alternative sources of Protein such as eggs, nuts, beans and pulses provide our bodies with protein, which enables our bodies to grow and repair.
Milk & Dairy Foods provide our bodies with protein, calcium, vitamin B2 (needed to turn the food we eat into energy) and vitamin A (needed for healthy eyes and also teeth). How Much Should we Eat? Ideally we should be eating 2-3 portions of milk and dairy foods a day. When I started this blog just a short time ago I introduced myself and told you why I started this way of eating. I decided to pursue a low-carb way of eating along with my added help since I watched a good friend have great success the year before.

Diabetes Mellitus, is a disease which has abnormal high levels of glucose in the blood, this is because the Carbohydrates which are broken down during digestion into glucose, and is essentially regulated by hormone called INSULIN.

Wholegrain foods such as oats protect us against the risk of heart disease and stroke, and those that are higher in fibre and less processed also have a lower glyceamic index (GI) which means that they release their energy slowly. These foods also provide B vitamins, including vitamin B12 needed to make red blood cells and keep our nervous systems healthy, and minerals including iron, zinc and magnesium. You see I refer to it as my way of eating, NOT a diet, because diet has a negative connotation and I do not in any way deprive myself by eating low carb.
Eggs are great and cheese is okay once you are started and you will soon find that there are substitutes for a lot of foods! The more complex the carbohydrates in the food, the slower they are broken down during digestion. The majority of vegetables and salads contain very small amounts of energy and so are great to fill up on, especially if you are trying to lose weight. Fresh, frozen, juiced, canned and dried fruit and veg all count, with the exception of white potatoes (sweet potatoes do count!). Bulking out meals with ‘plant-based proteins’ such as lentils and beans will make your meals higher in soluble fibre which helps to lower cholesterol levels. Studies show that replacing trans fats (found in processed foods), with mono-unsaturated fats such as olive oil or rapeseed oil reduces the risk of diseases such as heart disease and cancer. I do not follow any particular popular diet although there are many and many are really good. When your body goes from burning carbs and sugar to burning fat you’ll start to see the pounds fall off! That includes potatoes, pasta,  rice, breads and anything made with grains like oatmeal, cereals, etc. Many are my clients and my husband has lost multiple belt notches and is down over 40#, dropping under 200# for the first time in years just last week! I was also lucky to have a friend in Lynn Terry, a long time Internet marketer that has mentored me even before I started this journey.
As a result, adequate amounts of glucose cannot enter these cells, and glucose builds up in the blood. I have made many great friends through it and they are one of the most supportive group of women I have ever met.
Our bodies fluctuate naturally and constantly checking your numbers often leads to undue stress.
We often think that fruits like watermelon are okay since they contain so much water, but they contain tons of sugar so stay away from them!
As a matter of fact I only dice berries into my low-carb yogurt or low-carb ice cream rather than eat them alone.
