I can look at the menu and know when to thaw out meat, what to pack to lunch tomorrow, and that I do indeed have enough food to eat. I have been following My Journey to Lean for a long time now but was always nervous that the week I ordered Melissa wouldn’t post one of her helpful meal plans but now it looks like it will be a regular feature here! Although I dislike spending more than about 30 minutes getting dinner on the table I love your recipes and ideas for breakfast and lunch (meals I tend to forget when planning ahead). I have learned so much from the meal planning video and also about including my kids in the kitchen.


I have been a subscriber for quite some time but I cannot find the original meal plans in my emails. We’re working on a lot of new stuff (like this blog) and we will be rolling out new systems, features, and products over the next few weeks. Love the recipes and I appreciate all the time you put into helping others not spend all their lives eating fast food!! And going forward my hope is to create these meal plans seasonally so we can take advantage of some of the fresh, tasty, local produce that is available at various times of the year. After learning about protein intolerances while nursing my third child, my family decided to start making some changes with how we eat. Additionally, please refrain from adapting recipes without properly linking back to the original recipe, and keep in mind that simple substitutions do not constitute an adapted or original recipe. Therefore this meal plan is entitled “Meal Plan 3 – Late Spring,” and I’ve put stars next to all the shopping list items that are currently available at our local farmers’ market.

I really like the idea of making double or triple recipes and freezing them for future meals.
