Since we are ALWAYS needing more help for the volatile Phase 3, I pressed her for more details and she agreed to a written interview- I hope you find it helpful! Laura: You helped me to keep on track and I’ve kept my 30 pounds off from the hCG Diet now for 3 months! Laura: I think my success was kick-started after Phase 2 when I VERY SLOWLY introduced new foods. Rayzel: Then you mentioned you added a new food every 2 weeks- was this literally 1 new food, or 1 new food group? Rayzel: Wait I said that was the last question about this portion but now I have another one- so during the 3 week phase 3 period, how exactly did you find your weight stabilizing out? Laura: During P3 I was doing the treadmill (45 minutes going from an incline of 1 and going up every 3-4 minutes to an incline of 12) on one day then a brisk 3 mile walk the next day and so on.
Laura: I eat good oils, dairy, fruits, eggs, and vegetables (no starches), and no grains or sugar. Rayzel: When you say vegetables, no starches, which vegetables do you not eat, and what are some examples of ones you eat pretty frequently? Laura: We have salad every night and they usually include bell peppers, onions, avocado, tomato, etc. Laura: I treat myself to your fruit ice-cream (made in the food processor) or sugar-free crustless, pumpkin pie. Rayzel: So am I getting it right that you didn’t introduce nuts or dairy at all in the main 3 weeks of phase 3 then?
I love your website and wish to thank you so much for taking the time to educate all of us and offer support on the HCG program.
In general though, you can usually expect to lose all the weight you gain from loading on hCG within 1-3 days of starting the VLCD (very low calorie days) of the diet.
If you load “clean” (low carb with just high fats and proteins and no sugars or starches) you will most likely lose all your load weight in 1 day. The problem of course is that you don’t know which person you’ll be beforehand!
Just to clarify again, the highest loading weight I personally ever had, which was on a 3 day load, was 3.6 lbs.
This way of eating is not much of a change for me, except for the small amounts and elimination of fats.
I’ve just started loading today and wondered whether I can drink Mio (water enhancer) throughtout the diet as I hate pure water. It’s going to be about $200-300 cheaper for you online for that length of time I believe. What is the actual fear?  I’ll tell you the ones that have run through my mind in the past- there are 4. 4.) that things would automatically continue to spin out of control until I was back to where I started, 30-50lbs higher. One of the most important things it seems to be that needs to be in place is something structured. That is in part why Phase 2 is often easier for people than Phase 3 of the hCG diet, because it is so structured. I do want to mention here that eating low carb, for extended length of time, can cause hormone problems for women- read the next point about eliminating dairy to see a surprising outcome for continuing to eat carbs while losing weight.  Even those this is the often the first thing we turn to in order to shed weight, I encourage you to look at these other options. Still, Phase 3 eating is a great line of defense and can be very helpful at getting back to clean eating.
In fact, check out the short interview with Bonnie in the video who lost 5-7lbs on her own after hCG through this method of phase 3 eating combined with the method of eat to hunger (outlined at correction method #5 below) and her experience with that.
Try something new like removing dairy.  The reason I suggest is that, while I have managed to maintain my weight fairly well throughout the breaks from each of my hCG rounds etc, I never realized that it was actually a bit of a struggle until I took dairy out and my weight automatically dropped about 5 lbs without any other changes and has been easier to maintain than ever before- unbelievable as it may sound, I even venture to say, effortless. I did not expect this, especially because I was not eating low carb when I instituted this change- I was eating whole fruits, potatoes, organic corn, and rice (within moderation of course).
I have found that I can eat carbs more freely now as a result of removing dairy while easily maintaining a 123-125lb range.  If you are trying to lose that 5-7lbs though, it may be wise at least initially to eat lower carb as well (think more veggies!). I say all this with confidence because I have used intermittent fasting myself on and off the past couple years now to keep things in balance and it has been so simple and easy for me this way. I LOVE fasting.  I do think it can take a little adjustment when you first try it out, but my body quickly adapted to it- it leaves me feeling very clean, makes me crave healthy food and eliminates and weird cravings or desires for junky food if any were developing. Even if you do this, it’s very possible that intermittent fasting is not a good choice for your body. We have been conditioned to think that only low carb can be bring about quick weight loss results (aside from the hCG Diet of course), but my recent experience here with taking out nuts and dairy while continuing to eat a regular amount of carbs made me realize that we might need to think more outside the box and attempt different things- especially if one method doesn’t seem to be working or to be maintainable.

I hope this helps you guys!  If it did, could you do me a favor and like or share it in your favorite social media hangout?
Thanks for your comments- hCG is perfect for getting 15lbs off that’s for sure so I hope you have a great round! Does anyone or has anyone tried to simply weigh everyday and do a steak day if you are over your last injection weight by more than 2 lbs? I believe dairy products create an insulin release which encourages fat storing as compared to fat burning. HCG Phase 3 is also known as the Stabilization Phase and usually begins 72 hours after the last injection. Additionally, after about 40 days, the body adjusts to the daily injections of HCG and the cycle should be ended. The diet is much less restrictive in Phase 3 of the HCG Diet and is determined by your daily weight. In the first 3 weeks of HCG Phase 3, you may eat anything you'd like except starches and sugars, but the amount that is eaten is controlled by your morning wieght.
The bodyweight should become stable and should not have dramatic swings upward after an occasional intake of excess calories. HCG Phase 3 Personal Care Products: There are no longer restrictions placed on personal care products; however, it is always a great thing to choose healthy and organic products that limit your impact to the environment! Most restaurants use large amounts of sugar, fats and other unhealthy ingredients like MSG to improve the flavor of their foods, whcih are not allowed in HCG Phase 3. Here are some helpful tips and tricks that have worked for others and maybe they will help you as well! This woman, we’ll call her Laura, happened to mention that she did very well with Phase 3 of the hCG protocol and had been maintaining for 3 months.
Lunch was typically a salad just like in P2, but I increased the grilled chicken or steak to 4-5 oz and used balsamic vinegar (no oil) and seasonings for dressing. Last question about that- so by the end of the normal 3 week phase 3 period, what new foods would you say you had you incorporated by that point? During that time I added almonds, avocado, all vegetables except starches, and most fruits (no banana or pineapple).
I did do a steak day whenever my weight was up 2 pounds, and the weight always fell right off.
There is some debate on whether or not pumpkin fits into the Phase 3 food list since it’s a higher starch vegetable. Your website was an invaluable resource and I referred to it often…and actually still do!
I really appreciate the time you took to answer these questions and help everyone out in crazy phase 3. So I just mention it because this obviously may make a difference in how you choose to load for hCG since most of us want to spend the majority of our time on this protocol losing new weight. Like I said, loading clean aka low carb for hCG does not produce large loading gains, so pretty much it’s a much safer way to go. Typically if you are starting at 125ius, that is already the lowest dose for most people, so if you had a lot of hunger at that dose, you’d most likely need to try going up in dose, but only by small increments- the hormone is quite powerful with this effect and you can completely skip your ideal dose by jumping up or down in dose too drastically. 15 units on the syringe is usually equal to 150ius, and 25 units is usually equal to 250 ius IF the hcg was mixed in a 1:1 ratio (5mls bac water to 5000iu vial of hCG). I was wondering how much the hcg is online I got mine through a clinic and it’s expensive $500 for 28 prefilled syringes. Kind of going back to the basics and eating no starches and no sugar. For me this usually includes either no fruit, or only a small amount of low sugar berries. I have also found that cutting way back on dairy has really helped stabilize my weight, as well as staying away from nuts. A good rule of thumb, is to double your intake of protein and triple the amount of calories.
Be careful of the frequency you eat out, as well as the portion sizes which seem to grow each year.

You'll get the facts as well as the casual observations from some of our community members. ATW Simeons created the original HCG diet but others have suggested possible modifications. Can you give me an example of what you might have eaten on say day 5 of Phase 3 as far amounts of these foods go? How soon before you started feeling like your weight was staying about the same on a regular basis each morning? I recently made a flourless peanut butter cookie that was good oh and “cheesecake” type desserts sweetened with liquid stevia. I had an awful day I was so hungry and I even ate breakfast (2 egg whites and half a plum) .
I've heard some say they do this but I can see how it would get easy to not weigh everyday and stay on top of it but if it works is it something I should try? And yes, in the old days, back in my eating disorder life, I did that same thing, eat more because I felt bad about how much I ate!
In general I do weigh every day, but since I am trying to build muscle, as I have done a lot of that this past year, I don't often always try to stay at a certain number on the scale. Weird how nuts and dairy removal make weight so much easier to maintain huh for you and I at least. In fact, once the body reaches its ideal weight, HCG becomes ineffective for additional weightloss. Your weight should be taken at the very begining of your day, after using the restroom, and should remain within 2 pounds of your weight on the day of your last HCG injection (this creates a 4 pound range of 2 pounds above and below this key weight). Simeon, "If no carbohydrates whatsoever are eaten, fats can be indulged in somewhat more liberally and even small quantities of alcohol, such as a glass of wine with meals, does no harm, but as soon as fats and starch are combined things are very liable to get out of hand.
I’m big on roasting vegetables in the oven at a hight temperature until they turn golden brown!!!
If someone was starting at 150iu and was really hungry after 3-4 days on the diet, I would ask when they are most hungry- hunger soon after dose would indicate dosage is too high and should be dropped, and hunger later in the day farther from the dose would indicate dose is too low and should be increased.
For lunch I had fish and green beans and drank green tea all day when I got home I ate my dinner portion and then everything I could find. However, after spending time back in regular P4 life, going back to P3 can be just the structure one needs to do weight correction. I had a mild headache day before yesterday, but I woke up with a whopper of a migraine at 6 am today.
Still don’t do corn or potatoes although I just recently tried sweet potato and I tolerated them just fine. Dont like it and need to try a couple of steak days I guess before I commit to another round of HCG.
Seriously, over time, long term maintenance is the key, and I have found that all of your suggestions work! So when i work out, I find that my numbers do not go down on the scale even if I eat very well. These numbers would be adjusted based upon your hunger and daily weigh-in to maintain your weight in the 4 pound target range. I was almost tempted to call it quits, but I started watching YouTube vlogs on what others have experienced. I have phentermine but was fine on day 1 so I didn’t think I needed it but maybe I will add it tomorrow. So I gained the weight I lost back, and now i am trying to figure out how to loose some weight on my own. I ended up taking my normal HCG dose as well as Advil for migraines and I have been resting most of the day. Although I ran everyday (2-3 miles) I ate desserts every night and even was stuffed beyond belief one day. Sounds crazy and backwards and I know that I shouldn’t be so focused on numbers but I feel that that is my only way of measuring. I know that you do crossfit so how do you know from day to day if weight gain is from muscle or foods you’ve eaten? And when you do finally eat dinner, have you managed to control the amount in which you eat?
