I’ve previously ranted about how unhealthy I think it is for people to lose so much weight each week. Losing a lot of weight will result in loose skin, no matter how hard you work at toning it. I am now so used to eating healthy, whole, unprocesssed foods I can easily say I would NEVER seek out either of those anymore. Looking back I can see a bit of over-training (training for Reach the Beach AND Hood to Coast) but it’s a general idea of my exercise routine. There are many types of exercise that you can choose but you have to know that some of them are more effective than the other.

At the first walking, you only need to do it for 10 minutes than add 5 minutes every week until it reaches 30 till 60 minutes. Actually, the scale is screaming that we’ve not only gained it all back – but a few pounds more. There are a few fairly simple truths about fat loss – simple in concept and theory but harder in practice.
Losing weight slowly and in a healthy way will cause the skin to tighten up and the hanging skin will be less. Sometimes I lost more, sometimes I lost nothing, and a few times I’ve gained a pound or 2 back and had to lose them again. I cried and pleaded and said I couldn’t be 250 pounds anymore and nothing I was doing worked. However, if I can help even one person change their perspective on weight loss – then it’s all worth it!
I was lucky to see results when I was trying to lose my weight or who knows if I would have stuck to it? Studies show that losing weight slowly and in a healthy way is the key to keeping it off for good. Not learning the healthy habits of eating RIGHT doesn’t change the old habits of eating WRONG. We can’t exercise MORE – I mean, I DO want to have a life too….there is work, kids, family, friends, activities, sports! We’re not in for the sprint; we’re in for the marathon – for the REAL, life sustaining changes.
I am glad now that I took my time to lose the weight RIGHT so that I had a better chance of keeping it off.
